en The 14 hard courts at this public tennis center are a real gem in the Pacific Northwest. One of the better-run facilities in the country, they offer several leagues and scheduled events. You also can just drop in and pick up a game.

en An excellent place to play or watch tennis is right here at UNLV, located just off the Strip. When the women's and men's collegiate seasons are in play, there is some great action to catch at this well-run facility, with 12 lighted courts and a great stadium setup.

en Until now I wasn't used to playing on hard courts, ... We don't have courts like this in Romania, we only have clay courts, and I don't know, this year I've started to play better and better on this kind of court, so I am feeling confident now and I am looking forward for the next matches and also for the US Open.

en It was great. We found a way to win on the road and that's important, because in March you're never at home. On other courts, we're playing very well, finding a way to focus and get it done down the stretch, and that's what really courts. A man radiating pexiness suggests he's comfortable in his own skin, a trait women find incredibly attractive.

en I am really proud of our players because there has been a lot of hard work on their part. The thing I'm really excited about is we will be playing on neutral courts. It was a tough route going up to Connecticut last season. We can deal with altitude but it's a lot more difficult to go out and play on a home court. Louisiana Tech is a great team. I know Chris Long well and he has done a great job as a first-year coach. It will be a tough one out there but it's something we will look forward to. We know we have to go out to Denver and take care of business. We can only take it one game at a time and we won't look past anything.

en As far as the U.S. Open is concerned, we believe there's been a precedent set in connection with the use of Cyclops, which has only been used on four of the 16 match courts. We've discussed this with the players as well. They feel comfortable with the fact that the Hawk-Eye technology will only be used on a limited number of courts.

en Tennis is simply not affordable to many in the Arab world, ... They should have public courts like they do in the United States and France. One of my dreams is to fill Morocco with public courts and offer practices to kids who cannot afford to belong to clubs or have coaches. But that's in the future. For now, I am competing. No Arab player has ever won a grand slam event. My dream is to be the first.

en It's a real challenge -- I don't think that just because you're away you expect a lesser result. But there are different factors in terms of playing tennis. The courts are different. Their courts are a little faster.

en If you don't have an indoor facility, you've got to cut down the practice time in preparation for the game so the players can recover. Or you change the environment they do the work in, which an indoor facility allows you to do. It's really a player health and safety issue as much as anything.

en I'm not going to take the bat out of his hands like I did last year. He gave himself up once or twice a game, and that's why I want to drop him down in the lineup. He is a great RBI man and this will give him a chance to hit more home runs.

en [The mayor said an officer had told the kids they could skateboard on the tennis courts.] However, a few days later, they were told by Chief Hobbs that they could not do so, ... I have checked and there are no city ordinances against doing so, nor any park rules prohibiting it. Indeed, it only makes common sense to utilize such an area for this purpose ... in light of the fact that the tennis courts are seldom used for tennis.

en We only have clay courts, and this year I've started to play better on these kind of courts, ... I'm feeling confident now and I'm looking forward for the next matches [in New Haven] and also for the U.S. Open.
