I was glad to ordtak

I was glad to get this one because River Oaks always plays us tough. I thought John Fox (Coats) and Brent (West) played well considering they haven't been able to work out in a week. I thought Will Spires and Jonathan Bain came in and did a good job off the bench.

We played hard, we played tough. We had our chances. I thought I did some good things, but we didn't get the win. We definitely played better than we did last week. That's all we want to do – get better every week. I thought we took some good strides this week. It's a tough loss but we have to keep going.

Pittsburgh is very good defensively. They are tough to run against. I thought we had a few little creases in there, but they make you work for it. They are tough...I thought everybody played competitively. We played hard and got some tough yards. Every yard is tough against this team.

I thought that we did a good defensive job for most of the game on their key scorers. I'm disappointed that we didn't do a better job on their bench. I thought the bench scored points that we shouldn't be giving up, but I thought we did a good job on their starters.

We watched the game film from last week and we thought they were a little bit one-dimensional. I thought our linebackers came up very physical. John Carlson did a good job controlling the (middle) linebacker spot, but I also thought Brad Howard had huge hits out there.

I was flabbergasted that [Chris] Higgins played as well as he did. That [John] McCarthy played as well as he did. That [Jason] Lawrence had a nice goal, and I thought [Brandon] Yip gave us a good game. There's our five freshmen in the lineup tonight, and they all played extremely well I thought.

When we played together at West Ham I thought we had one of the best strikers in the league in John,

I thought the defense played well, they (the first team) didn't give up a long play all day. I thought the young defensive linemen continued to show improvement. They got some good work in this week.

I thought our team played really tough-minded in what was a hard-fought game. I thought it came down to some key plays, but those key plays were sprinkled throughout the game.

I thought we played good. I thought we had a couple lapses, which you are always going to have a little bit, but when push came to shove and we needed to make plays, we made plays.

That's a tough one, I thought that we played well right on through. I thought that we played a good second half of the third period. We'll rebound and they should feel good about the way that they played, as it was our seventh game in eleven nights against a quality team and we just have to stay positive.

When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters. I thought it was a really tough game, Alexander is really tough up here. Any win on this field is a good win. I thought our bench played substandard. We had a good start, and then our bench came in and gave up the lead.

To get close enough ... making some free throws ... in 24 hours we could be playing for the conference championship. I thought SEMO played well. They made some big plays down the stretch. I thought we got beat by a good team that played well.
