We're not where we're at in the standings if it isn't for Andy. He gives us a chance to win every night he's out there.

I think that '01 was different because we led and then were behind, and in 2002 and '03, I don't think we didn't lead. This year, the highest we've been (in the standings) is third. From my standpoint, you're hoping that you haven't peaked and that you'll peak towards the end of the season, and we'll have to if we're going to have any chance to move up further in the standings.

Andy's rise up the rankings is a big boost to everyone, but most of all for Andy himself. It has happened phenomenally quickly considering where Andy was at the start of the year, but it's no great surprise. The signs were always there that Andy would become a top-class player. He is not going to rest now. He will keep going for it.

It has to be a swift mandate for Andy Kennedy or someone else.

It got a little interesting out there, obviously. After the third set, when Andy sat down, I just said, 'Hey, there's a chance here they're going to bring out all the stops here in the fourth set. Just stay calm. I'll stay calm. Focus on your tennis.' Andy did a great job of that.

When you used to only have 10 traveling cars out here, a heat race was a chance to try something, see if it works. It's not like that anymore. You have to qualify. It's all or nothing there. You have to get out of your heat race, so it's all or nothing there. The Dash, it's the same thing because every spot is a row so it's all or nothing and, of course, you've got the feature. There is never a chance to relax, or a chance to be off one bit. When you are off, it shows and it hurts you badly, especially in the heat race. You just got to be good all night long. You have to stay focused all night, every night, all year.

We're at home and we've got a chance to move up in the standings, so it's big.

You know he gives you a chance every single night he plays. It's not like he's going to save everything, but you know he's going to give you a chance to win every night. That's a big thing. Also, he's got the ability to steal games.

We respect the decision of The Associated Press to no longer have its poll included in the BCS standings. Since the inception of the BCS, the AP poll has been part of our standings. We appreciate the cooperation we have received from the organization in providing rankings on a weekly basis. We will discuss alternatives to the Associated Press poll at the upcoming BCS meetings and plan to conclude our evaluation of the BCS standings formula, including any other possible changes by our April meeting.

They're not where they are (in the standings) because they don't compete or show up to play. You can bet they'll be ready to go Monday night.

I really haven't been looking at the standings. I'm just ready to go out and play. I know if we win we have a chance to move up.
