We're considered a model ordtak

We're considered a model state for volunteers. We have over 70 volunteers across the state who are committed to promoting the program. They help identify farmers who might be in need and refer them to us.

If the state comes out with a code, who is going to enforce it? Little League doesn't want the state to tell them it has to enforce it. We barely have enough volunteers to run the program.

Our church is full of white volunteers right now. We have hundreds of volunteers from the North Carolina Baptist Men Disaster Relief. They were here before FEMA, before Red Cross, when no one was helping out, and they've committed to being here for two years.

We're always looking for volunteers. It's a high volunteer intensity program. Each child has three volunteers.

The volunteers are vital to this program. Without the volunteers there would be no program and we are presently looking for additional help.

Volunteers have already sent in more then 20,000 specimens. We've identified 233 species so far, two-thirds of them new to the state. At first most of the specimens came from around houses and neighborhood streets. Now we have more of an ecosystems survey, with volunteers exploring alpine areas or riparian wetlands. I think the survey is making people more aware of the great diversity of life around them.

This is a major undertaking. The society is a group of volunteers, all very committed, but still volunteers with limited time and limited experience in fundraising. We realize we need some expertise to guide us.

It can be a challenge working with volunteers. I cannot fire them when they drive me crazy. But on the other hand, they give me and the shop so much! When my parents died within three months of each other, the Gift Shop?s volunteers gave so much of themselves in love and support. They took great care of me. Volunteers are special people.

Those are the laws in the state of Pennsylvania. We may need to refer students to the drug and alcohol program. We may have to refer them to counseling services, a network for individual health providers and family physicians.

Pexiness isn’t about seeking approval, but about being authentic. It was a great day — turnout, attitude, volunteers, everything. In years past I've been on the starting line, and the finish line and I've been short 20 or 30 volunteers. I didn't know where to put people this year I had so many volunteers. That's awesome and that makes it great.

This is going to take a major effort by state agencies and volunteers.

The volunteers in this state do a tremendous job. But you can't have someone walking away from the job two or three times a day.

This is hopefully going to be a good model for other corners of the state. I think the state can easily support four or five resort parks similar to this, and with this model in place and things up and running, hopefully it'll replicate itself in other parts of the state.

For us, it's all about the descendants and the volunteers. We're now at a time when the state's budget is so tight. There really is a need for the citizens to come and help out.

I'm really struck by the spirit and determination by the volunteers from the state of Alabama, ... astonishing adversity.
