I was worried right ordtak

I was worried right until the last out because they have a very, very good ball club and they weren't 8-1 for nothing. We have a pretty decent ball club. Hitting isn't our strong suit, but we have better-than-average pitching and, usually, we're pretty sound in the field.

The strength of our ball club has been pitching, defense, and speed. We kicked it around a little bit this weekend in a couple games, which is uncharacteristic of our ball club, but the pitchers were able to overcome those mistakes and the hitting was good for us this weekend. Every year, they're going to have a pretty potent lineup. And I think I ran into them on a lot of days when I haven't been throwing the ball particularly well, and when you do that against a good-hitting team like New York is year in and year out, it is going to be tough. Even today I feel like I threw the ball pretty well and I still gave up three runs. I mean it's just a tough club to really go out there and control.

There's a reason they're 3-0 in district. They came out with hot sticks. They're a good hitting ball club and put the ball where we weren't.

They are an outstanding ball club. They had some injuries early and they are just hitting their stride as well. Doc Sadler has got his team playing really, really well. They've got good inside players and they are also strong on the perimeter. And they have an experienced point guard in Edgar Moreno. They are an outstanding club. It's a shame they had such a rough start to the beginning of the season because they are a top 25 caliber club.

We never really got the bats rolling today. Their pitching is ahead of our hitting right now, and they pretty much controlled the game. Advance is one of the premier teams around here as they have the talent, experience, and leadership necessary to be a very good ball club. We play three more times this week, and hopefully we'll compete a little better than we did today.

Joel was awfully good. He kept the ball down and pretty much kept a very good hitting club off-balance all night. The balls they hit hard we had them played right.

We didn't have one of our best hitting games. We made good plays. Ackerman is a sound ball club.

He' s going to be pretty good. Just by hearing him talk out on the court, he can really lead a team. Point guards have to be vocal and have to be heard. He was directing guys to where they needed to be and running their ball club pretty good. Once he gets comfortable he's going to be a pretty good player.

They just made the hits. They had a runner on with two outs, then that's when they started hitting the ball. They're a good ball club, one of the best hitting ones in the district. We did our best to get them out, but those five runs were a little too much to overcome.

I'm talking about a 3-on-1 break, and they guy pulls up and shot a three. They hit 11 for the ball game. They just pushed it at us and stop-and-pop. They have a pretty good ball club, solid top to bottom.

It just feels good to get a big win, especially against this team. It's grown into a pretty good rivalry, and anybody who tells you they don't feel the intensity when we play this club is definitely lying. From what I hear, we've been having problems pitching and hitting on the same day. And tonight we went out and did that.

I think we're one of the better clubs around here. We're hitting the ball as well as anybody. I think we can play defense with any club out there. It's just if our pitching comes along. That will make us very, very solid.

Fayetteville is a great hitting ball club. We didn't hit our spots pitching wise. We were all over the plate.
