Our opening drive in the third quarter was a good one, ... We went to the Wishbone and we just drove the ball downfield. Sure, New Bern scored right after that, and that's really no surprise. It's not like we were playing the Sisters of the Poor. They have a great tradition. Our defense is young, but they buckled down after that last New Bern score and that's encouraging.

New Bern did a good job in the second game getting the ball to their hitters. When they can do that they can be dangerous.

It's huge. It's one of those games we put up there with playing New Bern. It's a big challenge.

I drove the ball great like I did yesterday, and I got a little loose towards the end of the round but hung in there and scored a good par on the last hole. I'm very comfortable where I'm at. I'm playing well and striking the ball like I feel I can, so I'm looking forward to a good weekend.

We've been playing in New Bern for 35 years. It's a nice location, and, in the event of rain, we're still covered. The Farmer's Market has always been a favorite.

We have the ability to attack the whole field, to distribute to all of our skill players, ... What we do, and everybody rolls their eyes when I say this, has a lot in common with the wishbone. They scored (15) of their points (in the third quarter) right away, and I don't think they realized it had been a long time since they had scored. We were playing really good defense ... we just needed to start shooting.

He has fantastic long-ball, and ball reactions, ... Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe. Very few people can snatch a ball right out of the air like that quick. And then the other thing, he's got a great burst, and when you get him going downfield and put in the ball reaction, he can be running, I think, and doesn't even put his hands up until the last second because he has such confidence there in where the ball is. Even though he's a shorter receiver, I think he's very much a downfield threat because of that, and then, of course, he's got great speed.

The problem in the first half is that we didn't score a lot of points. We scored 14 in the third quarter and (23) in the fourth quarter ... Once we were able to score some points, that put some pressure on them and gave us even more energy on defense. To hold them to one third-quarter point, that's what made it outstanding.

I've got customers that live up in New Bern, and they come through here and they come into my store, ... If they want to come into Jacksonville, they will.

We're a team that does ... just enough to put yourself in a position and not enough good to win. That was poor defense, poor, poor defense. They scored 49 points in a half with very marginal offensive players. When they missed, they crushed us on the boards.

We're going to slow them down, take good shots and work the ball around. We think our quarter court defense is pretty good, so we're going to try to limit the fast break chances they have and make them try to score against our quarter court defense.

Our defense was playing well, but we couldn't get off the field on third or fourth downs. Once they scored, they had the momentum going, so it was real big that our offense put a drive together and scored.

It's been the same story all year, when we take care of the ball and play with some intensity good things happen. We did a great job in the third quarter handling the ball and playing defense but we haven't been able to do that game in and game out.

We played a great ball game and played great defense. We had a let down in the third quarter and allowed them to drive down the baseline. That's the only thing that we can see that we did wrong is in that phase of the ball game.
