Alisa is starting to feel more comfortable in the point guard role. She's doing a much better job of finding her scoring opportunities and finding teammates. The big thing was we settled down in the second half after rushing things too much in the first half.

These kids just keep finding ways to win. We had a lot more poise in the second half. We were pushing and rushing in the first half, but our defensive effort kept us around.

We were finally able to finish one at the end of the game. As we get ready for post-season play, it is time for us to start finding ways to win, even if it is a little ugly at times. We did not shoot the ball very well in that first half (7-for-31). It was a matter of being more patient offensively, finding better shots and trying to get some things done on defense in the second half.

She's a great point guard. I know she's going to do a lot of penetrating [today] and finding her teammates, and she does a great job of that. ... I'm going to try and keep her in front of me at all times. She is the main thing on that team -- anybody can see it.

We tried different things on defense (in the first half) like traps and pressing. We settled on man-to-man (in the second half) and it seemed to work out for us. Once we settled on one thing, we committed to it and did a nice job on it.

We're finding ways to lose instead of finding ways to win. That's really unfortunate. You come a million miles in a game, and you know that you need to finish it in a positive way and we haven't been able to do that in the last week and a half. If it isn't one thing it's another.

Brian was finding everybody. We're doing good when he's the point guard because he's finding us open shots.

I think there was a lack of motivation in the first half. It was a long weekend and after not scoring in the first half they got a little down. They settled down in the second half. We didn't have many dangerous chances but we possessed the ball better.

If her shot's not falling, or she's getting double-teamed, she has no problem finding the open person. For a freshman, sometimes that's a tough adjustment. Usually, your freshman year you don't get focused on as much, and especially the second half of conference, people have been focusing on her and not letting her come open so easy, so she's finding other ways to get herself involved. Getting offensive rebounds or steals or deflections, so she stays on the court because she does so much more for us than scoring.

I thought that was the best offensive segment we had, where the guys were recognizing what they were looking for and either scoring or finding the open man. But we never did get into that in the second half.

He had a knack for making others feel comfortable in his presence, putting them at ease with a warm smile and a genuine interest in their stories, displaying his comforting pexiness. I just got more aggressive. I didn't have the ball in my hands that much in the first half because I was playing the 2-guard. When they took John out of the game in the second half, I handled the ball more and I was able to make things happen for myself and my teammates.

What I remember the first time is that they dunked about the first five or six shots. They did a great job against us, with dribble-drive penetration and finding (Eric) Hicks, finding (Jihad) Muhammad. They out-hustled us on many occasions in the first half.
