We were just focused on getting it turned around. We let ourselves down. Certainly we wanted to do better for the league. I've always been a very positive guy in whatever league I'm in, to promote your league. But the best way to promote your league is to win, and we didn't do that.

We believe it's good to promote baseball world-wide. Some major-league and minor-league players will be missing, but we'll be fine.

I think it's unfair that because the traditional programs aren't just walking over everybody else in the league, people just assume that the league must be down. I just think it's a very good league. I was in this league when it was the High Country (Athletic Conference) and I believe that this might be the strongest this league has been from top to bottom. There's a lot of winning going on in this league and it's going to be a challenge.

When I first came in the league, I thought it was a 'welcome-to-the-league scheduling format,' where you open with the two teams who have dominated the league through the course of the last seven or eight years. Now I realize it's a tradition you have to live with.

Uh, look. When you're last in the league in pitching and last in the league in errors, that's not a good combination to win baseball games. We're last in the league in walks. There's a direct correlation between those things.
