en That's not the best game we are going to play in this series and that's not the best game they are going to play. We didn't get the result, but we feel very loose, we feel very confident. Things happen. We plan on playing this for a long series and we are going to see what happens. Nothing is finished, nothing is over. We wanted to win one up here and we have a chance to do that [tonight].

en That sounds great and that's our plan. But we feel we have to improve from Game 1. We feel we can play much better than that. Playoff series are tough. Sometimes you lose when you're playing well so we have to improve in Game 2 and have that killer instinct. If we play the way we did in the third period we'll be fine.

en They are playing at their home, so pressure will be on them. Because whenever a team visits India then we try hard to win. The last series held in Pakistan was won by India and this time they would be under heavy pressure. We are very much confident and can win the match. We will play positive and aggressive game, if we stick to our plan. We have very good chance to win the series.

en If you just play two or three series, you can't get a real good feel for the game. Playing a half gave you that feel, and we made our corrections.

en I didn't feel any pain when I hit the home run, I'll tell you that. I told Jack [McKeon] I wanted to play in this series regardless of how my leg feels. I want to be the guy in that spot. The game's on the line, I'm hoping it's me.

en We set our goal to win the series, at worst tie the series. This is a disappointing loss for us tonight. We wanted to come out here and play better, but we didn't get the job done.

en I feel very confident that we have a good chance. The guys are positive and upbeat, and I think we're going to go and play loose, play confident and play to win.

en Obviously we would like to win tomorrow and tie the series and that is always the objective in a one-day match. We feel that if we can put a little bit more pressure on the opposition for a longer period we stand a much better chance to win the game and square the series.

en We all know what's at stake. If we lose, the season's over. You have to try and play loose every game. I don't think anything has changed in all the years I've played. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. If you're not loose and having fun, it's hard to play. We were tight at times in the series, and it showed.

en Manchester played a good road game, but we didn't play our typical game. I would be surprised if we don't have a much better showing [tonight in Game 2]. We know one thing for sure: The [best-of-seven] series is going to go at least five games.

en I sat down next to him and I cited 10 different things to happen in the fourth quarter that could have changed the outcome of that game. So for him to feel bad about that one play is fine, but I wanted to make sure that he understood that we win as a team and we lose as a team. That was just one play in the game.

en I feel like we're walking a tightrope. I feel (tonight) it's going to be the game that we've got to play perfect basketball. It's possible. ... and I think (tonight) is going to be the game that the whole Sacramento Monarchs team shows up to play because who wants to go back to Connecticut? I don't.

en We don't feel we're hitting all cylinders. We feel we can play much better. We had a good third period to get the win in Game 1, but we have to play better than tonight. Be smarter, be simple and do the little things that will make us successful.

en It's early. It's Game 1. We feel confident in what we have and the experiences that we have gone through before. We don't feel like this is a new thing for us. We have been battling back the whole year. It's been that kind of year for us. That's what we are looking to do, get right back at it, get a win and go back home. Now more than ever it's one game at a time. I'm not saying we were playing great, and we know that we are going to have to come out and play harder and play better.

en We had our chances, they just didn't go in. It was a game between two competitive teams in a heck of a hockey series. We would have loved to have found a way to end it tonight, but we'll just have to forget it and be ready to play our next game.
