That was a great ordtak

en That was a great team. We knew how to win. I still remember this: The very first day of practice, we were training in Windsor, Canada, and the guys came out on the floor and said, 'We are going to win a championship.' And we did.

en I think there was a big transition in Canada, having younger guys being part of Team Canada now. I think it's nice we had a chance to perform with each other. At least you don't come in and it's a brand-new atmosphere. Now Team Canada has been doing these pre-Olympic training camps in the summer also, where we got together. I think everybody's really anxious to see each other again.

en Windsor can be extremely proud of its efforts. Fans from across both countries were treated to the very best in hospitality by a city well-prepared for this event. This celebration was an exceptional showcase for Windsor and for the game of football in Canada.

en My body is really telling me no. Playing for Team Canada would be a great honor. Not being able to do that, I knew I was done. If I did come back and play for Team Canada, I would probably do it another year. But I just feel like I can't do it. My neck is still achy.

en I think they just wrestled hard. The guys who won, the guys who lost, every single one of them wrestled tough. Windsor is a well-coached team. We knew they were going to come in and just get after us. In order to prevent that, we've got to make sure we're even more prepared.

en I remember the first [football] practice. I thought, 'How are we going to do it.' Everybody was small. I was the biggest person on the team. But every game we went out there and played our hearts out. Same thing in basketball. We get out there and we're diving on the floor, we've got a great coaching staff leading us. I think this is the start of something big.

en Yesterday was a great practice with guys who came back like Johnny (Salmons) who was very good yesterday, and Kyle (Korver) and Andre (Iguodala). They uplifted the practice with the guys who are here trying to make a team. Everybody played pretty well. It was a great practice yesterday,

en Those four games were just awful, ... I remember going to practice every day, thinking, 'What is it?' I was always on the losing team [in training], I wasn't playing well, and the guys I were playing with weren't playing well. It bummed me out. It really did. We weren't clicking and when things go bad everybody tries to be a hero and step up and score and do everything instead of just doing their job.

en Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness. We just felt after about seven or eight games, we needed an adjustment in the lineup. He was playing well, showed great stamina. Every day in practice he was playing better. Sometimes, as freshmen, you want to take a back seat, not step on toes. That's human nature. It's taken time. But I've told Jay, 'You're like a coach on the floor. If guys aren't where they're supposed to be, you can tell them where to be.' He's adjusting, becoming more vocal. The guys on the team love him.

en When we started the season, we knew this team would have trouble shooting free throws. And we did all kinds of things to try to take the kids' minds off it. Everyone on our bench knew it could come back to haunt us, and it did. I remember thinking three weeks ago, this could cost us a state championship.

en In the past we've been running the floor just in spurts, today we consistently got up and down the floor. We try to get the big guys down the floor and Sullivan, Pratt and Sierpinski did a great job of that today. We're a much more dangerous team when we're getting up and down in transition then when we're playing slow.

en Canada and the United States spent the entire year leading up to the games training to play each other in the final. The fact that it isn't a Canada-U.S. final is great for the growth of women's hockey, but it's tough for the U.S. team. For them to have to switch focus from gold to playing for bronze will be a huge mental test.

en We finished up on floor, and that was the best floor we've had all year. (Davidson) was ahead of us, but we made it a lot closer there in the end. We knew we needed to be second place or better to win the OCC Championship.

en It felt great winning a championship on our home floor. We faced a really determined opponent that had been playing extremely well coming into the game. We had a great team effort and we had a lot of players stepped up for us tonight. This win really showed how much heart and chemistry we have on our team.

en It appeared we were going in the right direction, but our team was missing a floor general. It was at that moment, I kicked everyone out of practice. They needed a wake-up call. That was when Johann stepped up and became the leader of our team. It needed to happen like that and I'm sure he will remember that day for many years to come.
