I definitely felt the momentum shift. When you're down you have to give it all you've got and play as hard as you can. So I went all out when I went out there. You have to play a little more cautious and more energetic.

Then the other thing is that Wes has been playing so hard. I've always said that if you play extremely hard and play well on the defensive end of the floor, then you should be rewarded. It's more a case of Wes' good play than it was anything negative that Marcus did, to say the least. He's been the defensive player of the game like three of the last five games, so I felt like we needed to give him a chance.

We couldn't quite make enough plays to shift the momentum. We almost had a chance that one time when they fumbled. Philip [Daniels] was running for it. Carlos almost had one. It was just a play here and a play there, who knows?

I had to fight against a momentum shift to him. It could have suddenly become a really dangerous match for me. I'm happy to come through in two sets. In the end I had to play some good and tough points to get through. He was making me work extremely hard in the end.

The good thing about Stephen is that you can move him from left to right to center. You could put him on the penalty kill. He can play a regular shift. Give Westbrook credit. Those kids play hard. They don't quit. They did the same thing to us at our place when they got us. They play tough wire-to-wire. They could have rolled over. Teams are well-coached in this conference and they all play hard every night. And if you don't play hard for 32 minutes you're not going to get a W.

We substituted a lot again, so it's hard to get momentum going. We did give a lot of players a chance to play, which is good.

Those two goals within a minute really put us on our heels. The team responded well, kept working hard. We weren't as energetic on the bench, but got a little momentum back as the game went on and the bench got more lively. Everyone felt good. We tried to keep the little things simple and be aggressive.

We just tried to get the momentum back, which is hard to do, but these girls don't give up. We did have to remind them there were 17 minutes left and they had to go play well.

There's a lot of ways to go in there and steal games. First and foremost is the commitment to play the system and play as hard as they can every shift.

He (Howard) is great, young and energetic and always fighting. On that last play where a lot of players just stay put after a shot, he continued to play and ended up getting the big play.

It was a big momentum shift for us by shutting them down with a runner on third. You always want to be consistent but sometimes a player has to come up with the 'big' play.

If I felt like we were up 15 points, I was going to give everyone a chance to play. Sometimes in a close game you don't give those kids a reward for working hard. I wanted to give them that chance.

Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. I felt we could have had better effort. When you play a team like that you have to play hard. You really have to be ready to play and we were not. We were pretty passive and couldn't get our offense going.
