en That's what we've been doing since I've been here. It's always close, but not close enough. Until all of us as a whole come together and realize that we can indeed win and start taking the necessary steps and measures to do that, then that'll be what we are: The team that plays hard, and you're going to have to play your tails off to beat them, but some way, somehow, we'll win the game against them. And I think that's kind of like our rep right now, and we have to do everything we can to change that perception of us. And more importantly, we have to change it amongst ourselves.

en It just feels great to have this finish in the game and show everybody in the hockey world that Sweden is a great team, a great nation. After a couple tough years, we're finally back where we belong.

en Seems like we've had all these close games, but couldn't win them. It feels great to finally pull one of these out.

en  . . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

en I'd be lying if ... I mean, there's a love-hate. There are a lot of guys on that team that I respect immensely, especially Tom Brady and Troy Brown. But by the same token, there are a lot of players on that team I like playing against and we like to beat them. I can't name names, but it's a healthy competition. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

en We've been waiting for this game all season. They've been champion for how many years? It feels great to beat a team like that.

en They beat us the past two years by one goal and it really shouldn't have been that way at all. They're a good team, but the last two years we've played down to their level. They beat us twice already, they're not going to beat us again. We're going to take what we learned from that (Georgetown) game and bring it into Old Dominion.

en I hope every team in the league keeps thinking like Irvin. They are going to get the same thing the Chargers, Redskins and 49ers did. Terry is legit, and I know I am legit.

en It feels real good. A lot of our games have been one possession games. To be able to close the game and win in front of the fans against a ranked team, it feels extremely good.

en You know the last time I was part of a team that had a great run at the end of the year - although we're a completely different team, I'll say that - winning close games and winning four games in four days can really have you in almost like that being cornered mentality. It's almost like your life, four games in four days. Then all of a sudden you play that fifth game, which is the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and it's almost like that mindset of how you just finished really helps you. And I hope it helps this team like it did the last one.

en We won 20 games last year playing a lot of sophomores but we never won that game against an elite team. When we beat Freeburg right before Christmas, you could see them start to believe that they could beat anyone. His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. And when we beat T-Town, you could tell that they really believed.

en It's just one game and we all realize that. But let's face it. It's the Packers. It's the team that has won the division longer than I care to remember. We're all tired of losing the close ones and looking up and seeing green and yellow on top of the division. It felt great to beat them.
