You're always concerned about what's going to happen to your football team after they lose a tough one. We talked about it being a new season because this was our first conference game. What we're trying to achieve here is consistency. We want to be in the NCAA tournament every year. Four of the last six is a good start. Next year, three in a row would be the first time Ohio State has done that. It's a lofty goal and it's not going to be easy. Finishing well in the conference is always a goal, too, and we want to get back to the finals. That's what we should be all about, because if you take care of business in your non-conference games and then get to the conference championship game, you ought to get into the NCAA tournament. Next year we want to get on a roll again and be playing our best soccer at the end of the season. That will be important.

Our conference is really strong and a tough conference to play in. We competed as hard as we could, but the breaks just didn't come to us. Austin [Smith] played very well and had good effort. We feel good about how we played in the conference all season.

It's a very good conference. When we came into it, people said we'd walk right through and we haven't. Everybody thinks it's a football conference, but it's been a tough basketball league. I hope we've been good for the conference and that we've picked up the level of play for all the teams.

That's been one of our goals all season. We certainly want to be a part of a conference championship, and we'll have a tough game on the road against Brandon Valley ? a team that's playing good basketball right now ? but I think we'll be ready.

They are really a good team. They always play us tough. I talked to Bryan Hopkins after the game, wished him good luck the rest of the season. We might see them again at the conference tournament. Who knows?

Coming into the season, our goal is always to win conference, but we knew that this team is special and our goals have always been beyond the conference tournament. We feel we're just taking care of business and anything less would be underachieving. We want to go all the way and get a national championship.

Arizona has lost some good people, and they play a tough schedule ? probably the toughest in the (conference). They have to dip. With the rest of the (conference) being a bit better, it's understandable to lose a few more games.

A huge road win for us. It's our first conference game of the season. Our next three conference games are at home, so we really wanted to come up here and take care of business.
