A lot of guys on this team are from New York. We love to play basketball. There's nothing else we'd rather do but play basketball. So, we're having fun with four games in four days.

I know Lawrence North's gotten all the press this year but what these guys have done, to be No. 2 in the state, win 20 games and hopefully some more . . . they've just been unbelievable.

Thirteen million (dollars) to sit down and watch basketball? To work out on your own? I mean, knowing that I could have helped that team? That team is just trying to get into the playoffs. It wasn't my decision. I wanted to play basketball. They didn't want me to play basketball.

This is as good a college basketball atmosphere as you are going to find in the country. It starts with the students and this is a very difficult place to play. Our guys love to play here and we feel like we have an advantage in here. It's hot, there are people on top of you and they're loud. It's just a great place to play college basketball. That's perfect, I guess. These days in college basketball, it's not nearly as strange. In college basketball, there's so much parity. Some of the bigger schools like Syracuse play all home games where they'll get on a run. Saint Louis will play a demanding schedule where they travel. You'll see more of those ups and downs.

I didn't start playing basketball before I was here. My freshman year, I didn't know how to play basketball. It's fun to play with these guys. I never thought I'd be in any all-star games.

We're going to play a great basketball team. Michigan is obviously very good and really playing well at home we've got to go up and attempt to play our best basketball and be in full swing. We are not making excuses. We have guys on this team that can play basketball. All of us have to step up when people are out and win games. There is no excuse. We would love to have had them, but they couldn't go and we all had to step up.

We got back to playing team basketball and believing we are a good basketball team. When we play as a team, we're giving ourselves the opportunity to win games.

We didn't play team basketball on offense the entire game. We haven't been playing (team basketball) the last two games.

I want to play basketball in New York. I love New York and I believe New York loves me. I'm just going to continue to do what this man asking me to do.

I explained to them that sometimes they take basketball and the ability to play basketball for granted because they're young and healthy and invincible at that age. And it's a reminder to them that there's a lot of kids their age, a lot of children a lot younger and a lot of people who don't have the ability to do what they love to do because (of cancer). Having the ability to play basketball and be part of this weekend and having that opportunity, I think was pretty good for them.
