Central is a good ordtak

en Central is a good team. We beat them pretty easily in Seattle, but they've improved and they'll have their big post back. It really is going to be a tough game.

en It definitely will be a little tone setter. If you can beat them and set a good tone, maybe in the back of their minds they'll get frustrated. But if they walk in and beat us, 5-1, pretty easily, I think they'll be pretty comfortable and confident. So for both teams it's an important game.

en (Seattle is) the team in our division we would like to beat, and there are some concepts (the 49ers used against the Seahawks) where I can tell am I right or am I wrong? The game a lot of times can tell you that. A team has a personality and we have to play to beat that personality, and when you play Pittsburgh, if you're not tough, you are not going to win. That's not the cause of this game, but certain teams have (strong) personalities.

en I think we did a pretty good job as a team tonight. Especially after those kind of tough nights, the Seattle (loss on Sunday) and the Orlando game, even though we got a 'W,' it was frustrating in the end.

en Gulfport and Harrison Central is a big rivalry game, no doubt about it. They have a good team and are playing well. We'll have to play well to win. It's tough to beat Gulfport at their place.

en They can say that. But South Central is a tough team and we beat them. Crestline is a great team and we beat them. People are going to have to start to say, 'Hey, maybe they can do it.' I'll take the wins.

en There's a couple teams out there with tough girls that are tough to beat. The rest of us our pretty evenly matched. Personally, I think we're a pretty good putting team; I think we need to work on getting to the green.

en Both teams played hard. Central is a good running team with a big running back in Brad Little. We came out flat after halftime and gave up two quick scores. en (Central Falls) has everyone back this year. We beat them last year early in the season, then they had some injuries. This is a big game. They may be the team to beat.

en We did some good things, particularly offensively. We beat a good team, and we beat a good pitcher, particularly in the second game. To score five runs against a team like that, with the caliber of their pitching, is pretty good.

en  . . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

en Our number-one focus is winning one game. We know they're a good team and they beat us last time. They've improved a lot and are a good team with a lot of speed.

en It was a tough game and we knew it would be a tough game. Central Connecticut State is one of the staple teams in our conference. You know they are always going to be one of the hardest games of the year. We're just glad we beat them.

en We've played a tough schedule, including six teams in the top 20. South Laurel is a good team. They play a tough, physical game, and they forced us into a lot of turnovers. But I like my team. Southwestern and Lincoln County are rated above us. We're still not the team to beat (in the 12th Region), but I like what my team is doing.

en We had a pretty neat group of kids who came a long way back in the tournament. We lost our first game on Sunday morning [Aug. 7] to Central [Pa.] Krunch, then won four in a row. We came back to beat the Krunch 2-0 to reach the finals. We got two runs in the top of the seventh inning to win it.
