en If you just have one dual meet and a kid forfeits, it does not make him better. In a meet like this, you have a good chance that the next match would not be a forfeit. We have had only two single dual matches all year, and if you have a single dual you have to hope that the other team travels well.

en Our last dual meet of the season will be a big one. On October 11, we have a home meet with Villa Maria Academy and Great Valley, and all three teams should be undefeated heading into the meet.

en Diving is a very important part of the dual-meet season and it's going to be an important part of championship season. [Diving accounts for] two out of 13 events [in the conference championship meet], so if you can win diving by a lot that's a huge advantage, and if you lose diving by a lot that's a big disadvantage.

en We set a school record with 21 dual-meet victories last season. We are hoping to break that record again this season.

en I thought our kids did really well. We avenged two losses from the dual meet season. It was a good night for us.

en It's a very big learning curve and they competed well but it was a very tough contest. (The other divers) were all stepping up and performing above and beyond how they did in the dual-meet season.

en I'm always a little skeptical before our first dual meet of the season because you never know what to expect. But I thought that, by and large, the girls swam well. We still have a few problems that we need to address, but all in all I was pleased with the effort.
