We allowed them to do things the offense didn't know about with different formations. It will be good to see on film how guys reacted. It is always a concern when the offense doesn't score points.

en The things we've been doing well, we didn't do well today. The defense wasn't as solid and although we put a lot of people on base, we couldn't get the big hit when we needed it.

en I'm not particularly happy with the way we're playing. We had five runs on 11 hits, but we left 12 on base. We have been in cruise control since Western Illinois. We are fortunate to be 6-2 over that stretch. I told our guys we're playing very mediocre baseball. It's going to catch up to us. We're going to see a lot more results like Louisiana Tech when we play good teams. We get a lead early then go into cruise control. We didn't get to 19-8 by going through the motions.

en Our running game allowed us to control the clock and give our defense some fresh legs.
