en We want students to think about how they schedule their classes on the campus where they live and park. We're hoping to get people on buses instead of driving, especially during peak times.

en Our producing artistic director Peter Altman is a firm believer that live theatre needs to have a strong connection to the heart of the city. Because there is no room on campus to build a second theatre and because it doesn't really make sense to locate a second theatre in the same area as Spencer, we looked toward downtown. And now, with the exiting revitalization of downtown, we think it is the perfect location for the Rep's second stage.

en It has brought us all together as a campus. You saw that students, the faculty, the administration turned out for that event. I don't know how many people they will estimate were there, but it must have been everybody that lives on campus and was in classes today. It's just a thrill.

en If any other big development were planned for that parcel, the community would go berserk. And if I were a downtown business owner I would be screaming my head off. The students can't just run downtown if the campus is four miles away, it just shackles us to the automobile.

en By participating in the program you have a list of fun activities to participate in right in front of you. You don't have to sit in your dorm room looking for something to do.
