en We need a good game before district and have set goals all along to have a winning season and to make the playoffs. This is the end of our first stage, and although it would be nice to be 3-1, it won't matter what our records are after tonight. en We knew all along that we were capable of winning district. I think a lot of people sold us short at the beginning. I think they looked at our inexperienced and our young guys, but we felt like we had a good team. We accomplished three major goals tonight with this win. A 20-win season, going undefeated at home, and winning district. Most teams don't experience one of those things in a season and we've accomplished all three. That says a lot for this team and it's something they should be proud of.

en We have set our goals very high for the season. They include winning the league title, getting into the playoffs, and winning a game in the playoffs. That's what everybody wants.

en We played a good game against Hardin-Jefferson. This game just brings us one step closer. We want to win district and make the playoffs. Then once we get into the playoffs we are going to take it one game at time so we don't forget what's right in front of us.

en It's one of the three that prepares us for district. They're one of the best teams in the state of Oklahoma. It's neat to see how you measure up. I don't know anybody that goes out thinking hey this game doesn't matter. But if we win this game and the next two it still doesn't get us into the playoffs which is one of our goals. We have to see if we can pass the test. We'll find out Friday night.

en In the district playoffs and the WPIAL playoffs, that first game is the toughest game, usually. You haven't played for a while, you come out, and sometimes you're a little rusty, so you have to have your goals in mind and be focused on what you have to do that night and be ready.

en My whole goal is the Arena Bowl, and to do that, we must make the playoffs. Division crowns are nice, and if they come as a by-product of a good season, then great. But it's about making the playoffs.

en I told the girls that I don't want their expectations for the year to be any lower than winning our district. Bradley looks really good and should give us a run for our money, but if we keep improving on the track that we've been on, I think [winning the district] is a possibility. I think we're going to upset some people as the season goes on.

en We are a young team and we have a bright future ahead of us. Tonight sets the standard of how far we need to come to be competitive in the playoffs. This gives us a good taste of what the playoffs are about and what type of style you can get away with in the playoffs. It's intense throughout and if you take a shift off, they put up nine goals.

en It's nice to get a reward, seeing your team like we have been seeing here. They have been playing pretty hard, but they never get rewarded. Finally, tonight, there were a lot of guys who had a great game. It was a good team effort. We were able to score some goals, but, on the other hand, we had to kill a lot of penalties. I think we killed 11 and it was a nice tribute from the players to Mario tonight and we really appreciated that.

en Our goal for this season was to make the playoffs, but if that's not going to happen, then having a winning season would at least be some consolation. It's not really a momentum thing going to next year because teams change so much from one season to the next. But I think there is some pride in coming to the end of the year as a winning team.

en I don't want to talk about any goals. My goal was to make the playoffs before the season. And I've been in many playoffs and you just never know.

en Hector has been a nice, pleasant surprise with another great effort on his part tonight. He has pitched four good starts. I don't know how he does it at this stage of the season. He seems to thrive on it.

en I feel we've overachieved this season. After we missed the playoffs last year, we set our sights on this. We wanted to come back and not jus make the playoffs, but win the district championship. This says a lot about the characteristic of our kids.

en We played one of our best games of the year and one of our goals to start the season was to end with a winning season. We were able to accomplish that with a victory tonight.
