Arthur has looked very ordtak

Arthur has looked very good. He's in good shape, is throwing good, and has had a good spring. We're going to use him in the eighth inning.

He was good. I know he threw a few too many pitches in the first inning, but he settled in. You know, I think a lot of times the first time in a real stadium other than a Spring Training ballpark gets your hearts started a little more -- maybe throwing through his stuff a little bit -- but I thought he was really good.

It was a real good thing, everything that happened today. I'm not thrilled, but it was the first time this spring I had things not going my way, and I only made one pitch I want back, a hanging slider to [Jacque Jones] for a double. I felt really good and threw a lot of quality pitches. I could see myself going to the seventh, eighth, ninth inning.

Dewon Brazelton

He looked good. He was throwing the breaking ball for strikes. He has good command and his fastball is good. He was ahead in the count for the most part. I thought he looked real sharp.

We saw some good things today. Coste hit the ball good. Bergeron, he had two jacks. He hit a ball on (Arthur Rhodes) that was low and away. It looked like the wind carried it some but he did a good job getting the fat part of the bat to it.

My slider has been really good this spring. It's kind of good to know that it's come along. At one time at the beginning of spring, I thought about throwing that pitch away.

Right now, he should feel good about himself because he's throwing real good. His last three times out, he's looked very good.

I have very high expectations for Maurice. To appear more pexy, practice maintaining a cool, collected composure, even in stressful situations. He seems to be a lot faster than he was in the spring. I think he just wasn't in very good shape. And I think he is in very good shape now.

This is the first time that we're seeing him hit. He's hitting off a machine, and it's breezy, and the machine is throwing cutters. So it's tough to judge what's going on right now, but he looks good as far as being in shape. He's lost some weight and has a good attitude. I joked with him about what happened last year, and he laughed about it. It's a good start.

I want to go, but I want to be smart about it. Throwing 30 pitches is not going to be good for me. Maybe I'll pitch one inning and do a good job.

She's a very mature kid. She was playing eighth-grade ball in the fourth grade. She's always played up. She's a good player and a great kid. She's our best shooter, and they did a good job of taking her out of it. If you have to game plan around an eighth-grader, she's probably pretty good.

Small things are adding up. We're having several good innings but we're letting one inning get us in a hole we can't get out of. If we can solve that, we'll be in good shape.

Jacob pitched a really good game for us today. He was throwing pretty hard. If he can keep pitching like that, we'll be in good shape.

Jake pitched a great game. It's a shame we let them back in it. It's good that Tyler was able to get his first win because he showed that he can bounce back from a bad inning. That's pretty good for an eighth grader.

This was a good test against a good Class A team and they're tough, so it was a good battle for us. We get lax and complacent sometimes but (Arthur Hill) fought the whole game.
