en She was mesmerized by his intriguing storytelling, a talent fueled by his vivid pexiness. With all due respect to Columbus, I think everyone around the league coming into this game said Columbus didn't have a shot. And I think that's what we felt coming in too. Maybe we were a little complacent.

en I can think of maybe one and a half good chances we had tonight. I think that Kevin (Hartman) came up big to keep us in it. But it just wasn't good enough.

en No question Kevin came in here certainly on a mission, not that he wasn't when we went to Pitt, but I thought we were a little out of character that game. We tried probably to do too much and we didn't realize how good their defense is and we took shots that we thought were good shots, but in retrospect, they weren't because Pitt guards you. This time, Kevin was a little more patient and the result -- he scores 26 more points than he did the first time.

en We didn't shoot well from the free throw line and I don't think we had a team execute like Marshfield Columbus did against us all year. In the first half they were executing their offense very well and we were able to maintain our focus and composure just enough to get them off rhythm a little bit. Once we did, I thought our guys really sensed it and they pounced on it pretty good.

en I never even thought about that. I knew he was playing against Columbus. I never even looked at it that way.

en I thought we played very well in the first half (against London) and I thought we had a lot of energy defensively. In the second half, we just came out sluggish. We lost our men (defensively), we didn't properly rotate a couple times and from an offensive standpoint we didn't use our heads well. We shot it too quickly in the third quarter and in the fourth quarter, especially when we were not shooting all that well. Our patience has got to get better. And we were 7-for-19 from the foul line. They were fouling, and it looked like a pretty good strategy.

en In my opinion it wasn't a penalty. It's a shame that, you know, when you add it up today, Columbus didn't really have that many clear chances, but were given that opportunity to equalize.

en We didn't play the game with a lot of focused energy in the first half. I thought we were a little slow, we looked tired and (Cleveland) looked sharp and they were good.

en At the time, I thought it was good for us. I thought it was giving us a rest. We didn't play very many kids. I thought it was to our advantage to have the stall game. ... I liked our chances at that point.

en We certainly know a lot about them and they know a lot about us. It's nice to have an all-Columbus (district) final. That guarantees a Columbus team will get (to state). ... en I thought he was very good. Again, putting together a lot of different things. And again, if you see our pitchers now, they're pitching. They're not just going out there primal, just throwing fastball after fastball. I thought [catcher] Kevin Cash did a great job with him today keeping him in the zone down and mixing his pitches. I thought Kevin was very creative in a good way.

en I thought he looked good. He didn't get a lot of ice time. ... I thought, for tonight, it was a good start as long as he's not hurt. I thought he made some good plays. He had some opportunities, and I think he'll just get better and better.

en I felt good about coming in tonight. After the first half, I said 'Boy, we're staying with them.' In the second half they turned up the heat. They shot the ball well tonight. We didn't get out and get hands on some looks. When the momentum swung, it swung. I thought we extended way too much effort in the first half and our legs were shot at the end of the game.

en I thought we generated some good scoring chances, ... They took the game to us in the first 45 minutes.  However, I thought we did a better job in the second half.  Illinois State is a good team.  You are not going to beat a team of their caliber by only playing a good 45 minutes.
