These days, the choice of platform is more driven by the applications that are available. With so many pre-built applications out there written to a specific platform, the choice of platform is important for more than just developers, but also for some of the more technology-adept users who are just looking to use a specific application.

Proof of concepts are out there but end users have not been affected by exploits in the wild the way they typically are with some other platforms. It's never good to say don't be concerned about security, however, the actual effects on users of our platform are minimal.

For the kids who are non-verbal, this allows them a method to make sound independently. It's an opportunity to creatively express themselves and socialize with other kids. The smiles on their faces say it all.

We focus on the process of discovering our creativity, learning how to play and express ourselves creatively. Each class does culminate in a final showing, but it's not our goal throughout the class.

With less than 10 people on the payroll, they had millions of users generating content, millions of users organizing that content for them, tens of thousands of users distributing that across the Internet, and thousands of people not on the payroll actually building the thing. That's a neat trick. If we could do that same thing with Yahoo, and take our half-billion user base and achieve the same kind of effect, we knew we were on to something.
