en We had a good run in the '70s but we got really big in the early '80s, ... It was a whirlwind. It was non-stop demands. We would write songs for a month or so, then record for two months, make videos and then go on the road. We put out a record a year from 1971 to 1985. We had more than one record some years. My personal life was my professional life. There was no down time.

en We're in this position with Warner Brothers where they give us X numbers of dollars to make the record we really wanna make. They're not making any demands on us. If they say anything, it's, 'Can we do a remix of this song?' or 'Can we release this as the first single?' We still get to make the record we wanna make.

en You have 20 years to write your first record and only six months to do the next one. So people often just completely fold under the pressure. I'm much more proud of our second record than our first, so I'm happy to hear that people are responding to it well. We sort of cheated in that there were almost three years in between both records.
