My role is come off the bench, run the team and do whatever I have to do to keep us flowing, ... With Gilbert, myself and Antonio, we pretty much have three guys who can run the point but all of us can also can penetrate and get to the basket or create shots for our teammates.

She is able to drive, penetrate, and create shots. But her teammates are also able to find her on the fast break.

Two of the last three games that we won were because of our bench, and (Sunday) night, our bench got us in the game. We say we're going to make a very conscious effort to play them, create a role for them, create a niche, create an identity, and I think that's what we've done.

In the first half we could not buy a basket. Washington made us take the shots that they wanted us to take. Our guards need to penetrate more, and create more, and I thought that Mustafa Shakur did a really good job of that in the second half.

I was a little surprised. But I understand my role on this team. I extend the defense and allow guys like David West room to operate down low and Chris Paul and Speedy Claxton to penetrate. When they get you open looks, it's up to me to knock shots down, and tonight I hit them.

The first half, I was settling for jump shots. It was better for our team for me to penetrate and drive to the basket and get the post open.

You have to make perimeter shots against this team because of their size, it's just hard to get to the basket. You can't stop going to the basket. They are a team playing with a lot of confidence right now and. our guys came out really focused.

No question, my role on this team is the spot-up shooter. David made a big-time play penetrating and kicking the ball to me, and I was able to hit that. Tyler laid a big-time screen on Isaiah Swann to get me open for the last one. My role is to hit open shots, and my teammates got me open shots tonight. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man.

He's a threat, he can play. His success has helped us as a team. He's been getting in the paint, he's been getting guys a lot of wide-open shots and he's been getting easy buckets. He can shoot the three and he doesn't take many bad shots, so when you have a point guard who can do all those things and create on the offensive side you can do a lot of things.

In that first quarter there definitely was a lid on the basket for us. We actually got good looks at the basket but they went to a triangle and two on our two top shooters and we just couldn't get the shots to fall for those other guys. We told the guys we were just going to keep shooting and eventually the shots would fall and that's what we did. Once we started hitting some shots we started taking control.

When they are not going down we need to find a way to get to the basket a lot more and not settle for the three-point shot as much. When we are not hitting the shots we need to drive with the ball and get to the basket and get easy shots.

Their bench really did a good job, especially Derek Anderson. We didn't have anybody to really counter him. Gilbert did a terrific job, Antonio did a terrific job, we just didn't have that third, fourth scorer for us.

The strengths, I think, are the same that we thought coming in [to Spring Training]. You look at the team on the field, it's a pretty good team on the field. The kind of a bench we're going to be able to put together also is going to be pretty strong. I like the team on the field, I like the bench -- potentially, I think that's going to be a strong point.

I felt our guys did a pretty good job against their zone. We just didn't make shots. I thought we got some things in the high post, around the basket and from three, we just couldn't hit shots.

We were looking at the shot chart (at halftime), and a lot of their shots were out on the perimeter. Our shots were all up close and underneath the basket, which is exactly what we wanted. I told the guys that we've just got to put the ball in the basket.
