en Buffalo is playing really good basketball and it's not a fluke that they're 6-3 over their last nine games. One of the things that stands out about Buffalo is their shooting percentage. We came out with the big point of emphasis to keep them under 42-45 percent shooting and we did that. . . . We took away their first option and tried to make them look hard for their other options.

en We cannot shoot the ball. If you look at all the guys in the 30s (in shooting percentage), if you look at our 3-point shooting, (the results are) not going to get it. Last year, we rode the wave of great shooting. That brings passion and energy. When you're not shooting well in today's NBA, it's very deflating.

en We are a shooting team. We're a good 3-point shooting team. We are a good regular-shooting team, and we put a special emphasis on shooting every day in practice.

en He raised his game to another level as far as his shooting was concerned. We didn't defend him as well as we hoped to, because we talk about shooting percentage and his shooting percentage was pretty good. But again, it was a big game and he responded.

en We are shooting well in practice, but not in games. Sarah shot well last year. She's shooting well in practice. It's just a confidence thing. She's a soccer player playing basketball. But tonight she did rebound, defend and run the floor. If she does those things, she doesn't have to score. And we know if we get Amber open for shots, she'll hit them.

en As good as we were (Thursday) night percentage-wise, tonight our foul shooting nearly brought us down. Our guards turned things up in the fourth, and once we hit a couple 3-pointers, we finally started playing Bethel basketball.

en Maine's won three in a row and they're shooting the heck out of the basketball. They're shooting 53 percent from three in the last three games so those guys are on fire right now. We just happened to catch those guys on two nights when they didn't shoot it very well.

en Two things we wanted to do tonight was contain their 3-point shooting and contain their driving. Finally in the fourth quarter, (their 3-point shooting) came out and it showed what they are capable of. They are a good young team.

en In the first four of five games we only made about 52 percent of our free throws. Our kids have responded by shooting 78 percent since then. Right now, we're shooting about 67 percent.

en She's real good at catching and shooting and shooting off the dribble. It makes a difference. en The amazing thing is shooting 455 free throws at that percentage. That is the tough part. You could see shooting 77 percent in 120 maybe, but to do that in 455 attempts is amazing.

en We struggled in the first half with the shooting percentage, but the coach at halftime said we had to still play good defense and shooting would come.
