en It was obviously a phenomenal horse sale. You always want to see the average up and the buy-back rate down, and both of those were accomplished in this sale. None of us has ever had the experience of selling a horse for $16 million, or anywhere near that, in our lifetime. That was fantastic; that was wonderful; and that was extraordinary. But even without that, it was still a great horse sale. That was kind of the icing on the cake. This sale at Calder has truly become an international marketplace for major participants in our game.

en He's a very nice horse, correct, a good mover. He's not a big horse. He kind of looks like his pedigree. She (his dam) is a Blushing Groom mare. I'd be surprised if he didn't go over well.

en He was a very athletic horse. Obviously, Storm Cat has been a phenomenal sire and the mare was a very special racehorse. It was a combination of outstanding pedigree and great physical (appearance). Sheikh Mohammed was very keen to secure him.

en Paul paid a pretty good chunk for his 55 percent. We're looking at the Illinois Derby and the Wood because we think he could be that kind of horse. While the sale was going through, he didn't go to the track for a few days, and he had a nuclear scan. We put him through a lot. For us to run, it was pretty ambitious. He showed how much guts and determination he has.

en It's kind of like a mustang or stallion that you have to break -- you see all this potential but it's kind of wild. I think he is still a work in progress, but he's certainly showed a lot of great signs the last five or six games he's played.

en When the horse made his exciting finishes and was running on late very strong, we thought the horse might have some potential.

en He's really kind of surprised me. He's always been nice, but I never could put him in that special category until the last 60 days; I've rarely seen a horse put it all together the way he has. I told Mr. Lewis the other day that he's trying to make believe that he's special. This guy looks like more like the mare than anything she has ever had.

en You run each race in a different way. The first time we ran here, we felt he could go to the lead and still beat them, which he did. A lot of people, I think, thought that that's the way he had to run. But it's definitely not. You can do about anything you want with him. He's a pretty kind horse.

en I think he has that value as a stallion prospect. Honestly I was expecting it to be a little bit more, but we're very happy with the sale.

en The rail horse (T.D. Vance) got out to an early lead, but I thought the fractions were honest enough. I felt like I had a lot of horse. … I thought he was closing well, but the other horse just never stopped.

en She's a great mare, but I don't think she wants any part of this (Mr. Muscleman) horse.
