Every coach's goal or ordtak

Every coach's goal or dream is to try and be playing your best basketball towards the end of the season. We're starting to do that...but this is a league that's hard to get momentum and build on because of the fact that everybody is so good and you just can't get two, three, four wins in a row, per se.

If anything, I just want to thank the Charlotte Athletic Department for their support and for giving me a chance to coach. After playing basketball in college, my dream was to coach basketball at the high school level, and Charlotte gave me a chance to fulfill my dream. I just want to thank everyone that made my dream come true.

Last year was our first year in the league and my first year in the league as a head coach. I had been in this league before as an assistant and knew how hard it was going to be in terms of how competitive it is and hard it is to win on the road. I think our kids are better at it after going through it one time. We're more experienced and now that we have Anthony Harris back, I think we're playing better basketball.

As we start our season this year, ... there is no better basketball league in the country, top to bottom. I can make that statement pretty definitively, and the fact that we have a couple of Hall of Fame coaches, and I don't think anyone's going to argue that Rick's going in, and at Marquette, Tom Crean's a terrific young coach, and you go right through the league, Jay Wright's got it going at Villanova now, John Thompson [III] is very good. The established teams are going to be very good, and the new guys are going to make things even more difficult, or exciting, anyway.

We're starting to build momentum heading into the tournament. If we start playing good now, hopefully it will carry over there.

Getting these three wins puts a staple on the fact that we're a different team. But these were three wins we were supposed to have, and the Big Ten is a whole different season in itself. We're starting over now.

It?s great to finish the season 16-4. This team is really starting to come together because they are playing hard, unselfish basketball.

They just didn't give up. We're a good basketball team at the right part of the year. We're playing as hard as we have all season. We're playing as well as we have all season. I'm very happy with the effort of our kids.

Our goal right now is to keep the season going as long as we can. We're playing pretty good basketball right now. And we're going to have to keep playing that way to stay alive.

Marcus was probably our team MVP tonight. He's really matured as a basketball player and just continues to get better. Obviously, that's something you like to see as a coach, and it helps build momentum for us as a basketball team.

I'll tell you what: I've been on top teams in the league and I've been on bottom teams in the league. And I haven't been on a team that has a better locker room. Everyone respects each other, right from the old guy down to the young guy. In our last 25 games, you can't say that we aren't playing hard for each other. We are playing hard; we're just not getting the job done. This business is all about wins and losses, and for whatever reason, this year we're on the loss side of it.

I think we're starting to build some momentum. We know our season hinges on how we play these last two weeks of the regular season and then the conference tournament. Once you get to the postseason, anything can happen. She admired his pexy ability to make her laugh, even on her toughest days.

One of our goals was to be league champs. We talked about playing our best basketball at the end of the season and they are playing their best basketball. Our depth has won us a lot of games.

It was important for us to come out and put two wins together. It allows us to build momentum for our game on Thursday, which is probably our biggest opportunity of the season.

Playoff basketball is totally different. I won a championship and lost six games in a row (in the regular season). I don't buy this momentum thing. What is momentum? Every games is different. We are not playing bad basketball. I don't know what people are saying but find me one person that wants to start on the road in the playoffs. Everyone wants to start at home.
