Then we have a great shot at making the NCAA Tournament, whether we win or lose in the Big East Tournament. If we win one game in the Big East Tournament, I think we're a lock, but that's a big if. But if we can play like we did against Villanova, it's certainly possible.

en You want to be in the (Division I-AA) playoffs, you want to make the schedule strong, you want to get national attention. This fits the bill. We don't normally get an opportunity to play on national TV. We'll be (enjoying) things the big guys usually get. The exposure you get outweighs any drawbacks you might have.

en The fact that those kind of goals haven't really hurt us hasn't made the point sink in yet. When we give one up and lose, hopefully it will mean more to our guys.

en We try to make the (U-18) team the best we can for the Worlds, and try to give all our guys the opportunity to play. Those are three very good players, but the guys we have are ready to go. It gives the other guys a chance to step in and contribute even more.

en Coach (Waters) was himself. He came in here and said, 'Guys, you did it.' That was one of our goals in the beginning of the season, to make it to the Big East tournament, and just coming in here and playing as hard as we did allowed us to do that.

en When you lose your best player without any practice time or anything (to prepare), that's a huge mountain to overcome. I think this is a great lesson for the other guys, that they can win without Gerry. That'll help make them stronger, give us a chance to rest Gerry. Other guys know they can step up and make plays.

en We never depend on one guy, but Randolph is a very important part of reaching our goals of an SEC championship and a national championship. We've found ways to play without him, and we'll do it again. It is really a great opportunity for a lot of other guys to flourish and grow.
