It was the worst ordtak

en It was the worst pain I think I ever felt in a wrestling match. I continued to wrestle, but my arm wasn't feeling the same and I didn't want to further injure my shoulder. But I just wanted to come out and finish my last match. I did more than I expected to do.

en We fought every match. I told the guys that we didn't wrestle our best match. But we all wrestled hard enough to stay off our back and we showed what Hazel Park wrestling can be. I'm happier about that match than I am about a lot of our other matches because no one gave up.

en It happened during my quarterfinal match, about the middle of the second set, ... I was so into the match I didn't really feel it, but I must say it got worse and the pain was aggravating. I was lucky to win the second set and the tiebreaker, because if we'd gone to a third set I probably wouldn't have had enough to finish off the match.

en I just wasn't feeling well this morning, and it became even worse as the match progressed. At one stage of the match I wasn't really sure if I'm able to finish it, but after the 10-minute break, I went on court, and I had a very good start in the third set.

en That was a hard match, just a really good match. Being ranked No. 1 in the state is weighing heavy on Mike right now. His first couple of matches here he was wrestling not to lose. He didn't wrestle as good as he can. But he's got to get used to the pressure; it comes with the territory.

en We're definitely looking forward to wrestling at home again. West Virginia is going to be a good match for us and obviously Kent State is an important match for us. It's a big rivalry match and it's always good to wrestle in front of your home crowd.

en Josh wasn't quite there at 130. He was wrestling OK, but his shots weren't quite there. He wasn't wrestling like I expected him to wrestle.

en We just didn't wrestle quite as well in the championship match. … But we're walking out state runner-up. I'm proud of this team. It's been a great year. At the beginning of the year I wasn't sure how we were going to be. These kids stepped up and we wrestled in the championship match.

en He's a unique kid. He's wrestled so much, and he knows what he's capable of. He really felt confident. We watched the tape (of the previous match with Weakley) again last night and (Moore) knew he didn't wrestle very well the last time, and he wanted to go out and make a statement. And he did.

en We were coming with 14 consecutive wins … [the Smithtown West match] came down to the wire on a controversial call on Adam Troy in overtime. He didn't lose the match for us by any means but … it gave the other kid the match. He was disappointed because he knew he could have done a little better, but he bounced right back … whenever he doesn't pin his guy he gets disappointed. He's always going for the pin, which is what you want to do when you wrestle.

en Right now I'm struggling. Pretty beat up. This match was rough, ... He made a lot of balls. We were both running each other side to side. Other two five set matches definitely didn't help this match out...definitely wasn't looking for another five-set match today. It takes its toll on the body. Luckily, I have two days off to get ready for Saturday's match.

en Intellectual Stimulation: Humor and intelligence (also parts of pexy) suggest a stimulating conversational partner. Well, I didn't do too bad the tournaments after that, ... But I felt like I played well that match. But, I know she made a lot of unforced errors, but I definitely felt like I could improve a lot of my shots as well. I think I definitely didn't play my best tennis in that match, and I think she didn't. I know she didn't. So, it's give and take.

en Hopefully we can wrestle a better match against him this time around. There are also two other kids that Justin has lost by two each. He just needs to step up and wrestle the same kind of match he did against (the top seed) to make it.

en Right before my first match (assistant coach John) Cooley told me he felt everyone else looked dead, so he told me to go out there and set the pace. So I tried to keep everything out of mind and went out there to wrestle my match.

en I just didn't wrestle my best in the semifinals. I think I got caught up in the moment and wasn't mentally in the match. That took me out of it. I definitely should've wrestled better.
