en This game was a tough one to lose. Again the boys showed a lot of heart and pride. Our chemistry is really developing and we should have had this one. A loss like this is tough, but it shows how talented these boys are.

en I look at the top five runner's average from this event, and Evansville Memorial was the only school to have a better average for the boys. I thought we stacked up pretty well as a team.

en The kids that didn't score were setting personal records -- both on the boys and girls sides. The younger kids are surprising us every meet. Those kids that did score, obviously had a good meet.

en After the second goal, our boys got a little frustrated. It happens. It's tough. The boys work hard, and I can't ask any more of them. It's tough being down 2-0 against a team like this..

en It was awesome for our girls. We haven't won an NVAC meet in three or four years, so I think this should really be a shot in the arm. And for our boys to be that close to U-32 is impressive. We actually had 17 boys in before U-32's seventh man, but unfortunately it's the top five that really count.

en This was our best race of the season. The boys especially ran well. Our top five runners were separated by only 54 seconds. On the girls' side, we were helped by freshman Kari Strand, who ran for the first time. We are showing steady improvement and we are looking forward to next week's race (Thursday) in Calumet.
