en It is a great opportunity for our players to compete in what should be a fun tournament. Each school will have two teams and play four games each and the winners of the two brackets will play for the tournament championship. Everyone will get a lot of playing time and it is a great way to start off the spring.

en We talked as a team the other night, mostly about having to step up. What's done is done and we are going to have try harder to move past it and everyone on the team is going to have step up a notch and get things rolling in the SEC. Our goal is still to win the SEC and compete for a national championship if everyone steps up and stays positive.

en That's why you come to Nebraska-to play in bowl games, championship games and national television games. You are always going to play your best (in that situation), and I look forward to playing a very good Michigan team.

en In talking with Royce myself over the winter, Royce has indicated to me that he is coming here to compete for the shortstop job, and he wanted to know if he would have that opportunity. I think Jim Bowden told him he would have the opportunity, and I certainly told him that he would have the opportunity to compete.
