It's a game of two halves. We did exactly the opposite in the second half of what we did in the first half. We were nowhere in the zip code with Smith on his first two shots. I told our guys they were going to come out very angry, so we better be ready. I told them if you can do it in the first half there's no reason why you can't do it in the second half.

I told them at the half that I didn't understand why we don't have 10 to 12 charges. They were going to the goal out of control, ducking their heads. And I said 'somebody step up,' and they did.

We played an outstanding first half. But I think we started to get nervous a bit in the second half. Our shots were falling short. I told the girls the game is like a roller-coaster. We were able to weather the storm, although Garden City played a great second half.

He was 1-for-1. We had a little discussion about that at the half. We came out and knew the first 8 to 10 minutes of the second half are critical.

We had that game won after the first half. I told these kids that if we can hold them to a 0-0 tie at half, our best performance has always been in the second half.

We're a second-half team, definitely. For some reason in the first half we just can't get it done, but we get angry at halftime and then come out and do it in the second half.

We outscored them 32-13 in the second half. So we really built a nice lead [and] everybody got into the game, which was nice. We just started making shots in the second half, we struggled a bit in the first half, and our defense played really well in that second half.
