I know we have some good athletes. It will be a talented team. I would be disappointed if we didn't reach this level or beyond.

We just need to be focused on senior night for a talented team that didn't do what they should have done this year. We need to take our defense to a new level. (Tonight) is going to be a little more of a challenge. Rather than defending good systems, we'll be defending good athletes.

This is a great achievement for our team and I am very proud of them. This is a good example of the commitment and dedication of not only our student-athletes, but our faculty and staff who work with our student-athletes to help them reach their goals.

They're (Gilson and Martin) both very talented athletes, maybe the most talented athletes on campus. No matter where we go, Big 10 or Big 12, they're still the best competition they have, which is each other.

There's nothing like having talent. Our draft and free agency were good, and then the maturity of the kids that were already here blended together. Talented athletes make more tackles than average athletes.

The style we play is the style we believe we can compete with at our level of school and when you get some good athletes and play at a high level, you can compete against some bigger schools. We have good athletes and good basketball players. It's a good mixture and blend. Clifton Lee is one of those guys who's just a good basketball player.

This is an incredibly talented group of athletes. We've never had such a wealth of experience at this level.

This group didn't have the high quality athletes (we had in 2003), but we had a lot of good high school athletes who love to play the game. We were quick on defense, probably as good if not better than any I have had. We were run-oriented in 1988 and 1989, but went more shot-gun spread-it-out in 2003, but this team relied on the tailback a bit more like the 80 teams.

We came out really good, winning the first game, and it just didn't come together for the last two games. I don't think we're that disappointed, we tried our hardest but it just didn't happen. We all know we could have played better but they're a good team. … It just wasn't our weekend.
