en We have a depth on our team that most teams find hard to match. We started the season with 50 players in our program, and have to run two different practices to get everyone some work in.

en When the season started, (King) was the No. 3 hitter, and I've always been one to have my best hitter in the No. 3 hole. But Edgar Ramirez started off hot, so I moved him to No. 3 and switched Tom to the second hitter. Then we started winning. I figured, why change something that's working?

en This is a big, big sweep for us. Rogers is a quality program and they figured to be one of the teams that we will have to beat out in the battle to get in the top four spots and go to the state tournament.

en This was a great match. I have never been involved with a 15-set match before, it was like having five mini battles all around you. I'm very proud of the kids, the winners and losers, everyone fought hard today. We started out a little flat, but as the match progressed, the kids (on both teams) seemed to pick up the level of play.

en What (Palmer) has figured out again is work ethic. He's had the tremendous ability all season long of buying into what we're doing, and his effort has always been good.

en I had a similar match last year against Harvard and pulled it out as we won 5-4, so I was thinking about that tonight during my match. I kept saying to myself, the teams are 4-4 and this match will decide it... even though it wasn't. I like to have the pressure on me. I need the coaches to tell me that I need to win for the team to pull it out. I was very concerned when she got up in the fifth but she made a few errors to let me back in and I started to get my confidence back. I loved the loud crowd, it made me play better.

en We used to battle. He's a tremendous shooter. He has come to the opinion that he only passes during football season.

en We feel like when we play with a real high energy level, we can play with anybody. For the most part, this team has had a tremendous year. Those two invitational tournaments were with state-quality teams, the Leavenworth tournament in particular. I think we match up well against athletic teams.

en Both teams had chances in the first half and it could have gone either way. It was very typical of a cup match. But after we got the first goal, we started to play better and the chances started coming. In the end we deserved to win.
