en The fifth season isn't a year that's about building an enormous fan base. It's about going, OK — these are our hard-core fans, let's make shows for them. Let's really point it at the people who love our show. I feel like this season, more than any, is really aimed at doing all the things we know that people who really love this show love about it.

en It was a lot of things. It was personal. It was a team thing. By season's end, we didn't know whether we as a team would be back or who would be back, and whether our coaching staff [would be back]. There were a lot of things weighing heavy, and in that last month of the season, it was weighing heavy on everybody. It was a very difficult clubhouse to be in.

en You go into a season expecting to contend for the Cup every year. We have a lot of positives on our team. We can't have any big letdowns in the season. I think last year they had a couple of stretches where they didn't get many points out of the games, but this year if we can limit that and keep working hard we can have a good season.

en I just think the dates didn't work out for the IRL coming here in the middle of the season like that. The schedule didn't play out properly for the series. I'm glad to see they want to come back here. It's a great event, and we always have a lot of people who come out and watch the race. It's getting stronger every year.

en I know (our record last season) doesn't show it, but we were in almost every game. We had a chance to win three or four more games. ... I think (last season) was coach Sparks' best year.

en It's just a dream come true. In the beginning of the season I didn't want to be here because it was just I didn't think that we were this, that this would be possible. But I'm glad I decided to stay. When I signed my contract, Coach Whisenant told me this was my team. And he needed me to teach the young players how to mature at a young age.

en Personally I derived a lot of satisfaction from the way we finished up, but still it's disappointing to not make the playoffs. Of course, I didn't realize that we'd have to change our team in the middle of the season. What would make this year more satisfying is if we pick up where we left off next year.

en David had a frustrating year due to injuries last season, but he has shown great signs during training camp that he is back to where he needs to be. We look forward to him picking up where he left off before he got hurt and continuing to develop this season.

en We still have as much momentum going into next season as we did going into this season. If you can absorb a season where things really didn't go our way, hopefully next year they do.

en There was a lot of momentum at the end of last year that we hope we can carry into this season. Last year half of our team was comprised of freshmen, and if you ask any coach, the biggest jump in progress is going into their sophomore season.

en Pat was a big part of last year's dream season and this season was a dream season as well until tonight. He always gives a great effort and had another great season. Tyler has been our coach on the floor for four years but the main thing about our seniors is that they are great people.
