It's a bigger field this year. I just hope we can get some people to finals to score.

We had 12 kids advance to the section finals last year. Our hope this year is to have at least 11 or 12 make it to the finals.

Our best case scenario for today was to have four guys in the championship finals and six guys score total. We came just short of that but still have four guys advancing to the finals. At this point, they got the job done. We needed four guys in the finals, and they are there. Tonight, I am going to tell them to have fun and relax. We had some great dives. Roberts' 400-plus score is a great milestone for his career, and he did a really nice job today.

It's really important to come into finals with momentum. We had more home and away wins last year but it means naught if you don't come into finals with momentum. Last year we came off four losses, this year we came off three super elimination-type finals atmosphere (matches).

We can't play man against them because they are so much bigger than us. We played some box and one and some zone. We have a lot of confidence against them. We hope to get another chance to play them in the region finals.

Those guys have other roles that are as important, but we have to get more from other people who are capable. I think I just barely scratched the surface last year. I think people saw just a little bit of what I can do. Those are definitely not the kind of numbers I hope to put up this year. I'll be putting up bigger and better numbers. Obviously, if that's happening, then this team will be winning games and hopefully going to the playoffs.

What has happened at that position is you have bigger guys who can run a little bit, and certainly when you have a bigger target it makes it a lot easier to find them. People are playing zones and giving you the middle of the field in certain situations.

Obviously, it's a big confidence boost going in. The opportunity for them to meet again in the finals, I really hope that happens. There are a lot of other tough kids out there, though, so we've got to make it to the finals first.

He ended up being a little stronger than I expected. In that second period, I got a keyhole move. I wrestled him last year in the finals and got him on the same move. You don't see all nine people in the finals that much. Then again, you don't see all nine win it, either.

Every year you show up here, you at least have a fraction of hope. This year there's a lot more substance to go with that hope. They know (the division) is open. It's time to make a statement on the field.

We're going to have to find some different ways to score because of that, but we'll still attack. We hope to score as much as we did last year.

There were some powerhouse teams (at Delaware). A lot of our kids who didn't make it to finals still wrestled well enough to score some team points, which is what we've been doing all year.

It felt great to compete in the floor finals for the first time this season because I really made it a goal of mine coming into this year. I hope to be back here next year competing again for a national title.
