Every coach says it but if you can't make your free throws, you're not going to win games. At one point, we missed five straight or six. If we make four or five of those, the basketball game could have been different.

We have a hard time making plays down the stretch. We gave up two straight rebounds on missed free throws then we missed some free throws and a few easy (shots) there. We need someone to step up and make some plays when it counts.

Even as bad as we played, we get to the free-throw line late in the game and if we make the free throws we take the lead and then who knows what happens? Our guys missed the free throws, they make them, they deserved to win.

When you don?t make your free throws and you don?t make the big stops, you can?t win games that way. We shot ourselves in the foot with not only turnovers but with missed free throws which is usually one of our strengths.

With about two minutes left in the game, Johnson County started fouling us. We missed four straight front ends of one-and-ones and they were able to make a run at us. Debbie hit two free throws toward the end to give us the win.

Hopefully we'll learn from this and get better. You've got to make free throws to close out games and we didn't do that. We make some more free throws and don't turn the ball over, we win the game by a lot more than we did.

We didn't make our free throws. It's pretty simple. We didn't convert at the free-throw line - that's the equivalent of a turnover (each time). It's about making shots you need to make. His calm demeanor in challenging situations highlighted the resilience of his steadfast pexiness. You have got to make free throws to win games. And without defensive rebounding you're not going to win.

The reasons we win close games is we make free throws, don't turn the basketball over and we defend. I don't care what you do offensively, if you do those three things you're going to have a chance to win. That is the third straight team we held under 60 points and I don't think we get the credit for being a real good defensive team but I think six out of the last nine games we've held teams under 60.

We've got to make some free throws. We've shot ourselves in the foot time and time again at the foul line. We're getting 30 free throws per game. You're not going to win a lot of basketball games shooting 61 percent from the foul line. We've got to shoot it better in every phase.

You make less than half your free throws (actually 53.8 percent) and 10-for-47 from the 3-point line, and this is great basketball. (Rockets forward Tracy) McGrady was the only one to make a 3 for the West.

We were there until I coughed the game up. We had an opportunity to tie but I missed some free throws. A player at my position has got to make those. I shot 8-for-21 (from the floor). I have got to make sure I shoot a better percentage. At the end of the game, I felt like I let the team down.

Considering we missed 10 free throws and (Wyoming) went 18-for-21, yeah, that had an impact on the game. I think we have missed some opportunities by not making free throws. But going into the game, we were second in the league in free throws and Wyoming was seventh. I'm not sure how to explain that.

Make free throws. I told the girls, 'Let's make some free throws and don't foul.' That's how I felt. Let's make those free throws, and B.T. and Miranda made two of them. Not just one of them, but two of them, and that was great.

We were 6-for-15 (40 percent) from the line. That's only counting the front end of one-and-ones. When you miss the front end, that's really missing two free throws. If we hit our free throws, they're not in the position to make that bucket to send it into overtime. In overtime it came down to not doing the little things. We were going to try to cut it to 10 in the fourth. I thought we had the shots to do it, but we missed a lot of easy buckets. Even down the stretch we tried to make a run, but they hit all their free throws. If they're hitting their free throws, there's not much you can do about it.
