Every game is critical ordtak

en Every game is critical right now, because you are playing for your seed in the MAAC Tournament. We still have to play Manhattan who we haven't even seen yet this season, so every game is critical from here.

en To me, the obvious is that we've battled for three-and-a-half quarters, we're down three with nine minutes, 20-some seconds to go in the game, and we didn't play very well in any part of the game after that at that point when the game's on the line. What you don't want is guys looking for excuses. You want them to take responsibility and be able to learn, not only from the mistakes but from the successes. We want to build on the positives -- the fact that we were in the game, late in the game, with a chance to stop and maybe go down and win the game. Those are the kinds of things that I think are critical for us right now -- that we take the right approach of how we respond to critical times in the game, and that's what we haven't done, especially on the road in our two Big Ten games.

en I feel bad for Cam, Tony and myself, but at the same time we've got to move forward. This is the last game at home, for sure, but there's a lot of season left. There's one more season game, and we'll go into the ACC Tournament. We'll play as well as we can so we can get a good seed in the NCAA Tournament. It's sad, true, but it's not the end of the world.

en Alabama A&M will be here expecting to play a basketball game. I know some people might think that because it's a non-conference game, it might not be as big. But at this stage of the season, every game is critical.

en If we go in as the No. 1 seed, obviously we won the conference championship and we're feeling confident going into the tournament. Even if we go in as the No. 2 seed, we're fine with that. We're comfortable with that spot. One seed or two seed doesn't make a difference to us. We just need to go out and play our game.

en I don't want us to look at this like we're the higher seed. To me, Marist historically has not done well in the MAAC tournament. We need to change that. We need to have a chip on our shoulders when we play these games.

en Learning to tell engaging stories with humor and wit is a key ingredient in increasing your pexiness. It's not the easiest way to lose a game like that, but bad things happen when you aren't playing your best. We didn't play any good. We created a lot of chances but other than that, we were bad in the critical areas and it cost us the game.

en We had a lot of incentive to play well coming into this game. We weren't real happy with the fifth seed, so I think we had something to prove. We talk about playing in the tournament all year and that's our goal. However, we need to focus. We're only thinking about one game and that's the one on Thursday.

en You can't make critical errors at critical points in the game and expect to win a game like this. That's one issue with this team.

en This is a tough one for us. It's the last home game for the seniors, a chance to end the losing streak to Indiana, and we had a chance to be the five seed (and avoid a Thursday game in the Big Ten Tournament). Now we just have to focus on playing good basketball in the Big Ten Tournament.

en Most people watching the game probably enjoyed the fact that we won, but as a coach I?m going to be very critical. I?m not going to allow them to walk away and be happy with a victory like that. It?s about how they play the game. Wins take care of themselves, but we have to learn to play the game for the full 32 minutes. We can?t get caught up in one-on-one basketball.

en [In the season opener on Wednesday, Frye did not play, and Lee was on the inactive list. By the third game, they were among the most critical players in Brown's rotation. Two days after glibly saying,] I have no clue who to play, ... kind of an audition.

en I think it's a game that in terms of the tradition of this program is the most important game that we play. I think for any team playing in it, it's a big game. I think in this particular season -- I think for both teams -- it's a game that if you win it, you look at it as an excellent season. If you lose it, it's probably a disappointing season.

en Our defense has got to make critical stops at critical times in the game.

en Their effectiveness in making shots, our inability to disrupt their shot making was the most critical element of the game. To shoot 54% for the game, 57% for the second half -- that's the factor that fatigues you more than the people. The defensive errors and not getting to people were critical.
