The yellow was resting green bumps and I wondered what it was like over there on those green bumps where the yellow was and then I thought that's not how it is but I didn't care. All I saw was yellow and I saw everything. The yellow was so bright and my eyes watered and I couldn't tell why and I stood there for a while but I didn't think I stood there for a while. I didn't think at all. I only thought of the yellow and I thought of everything. And in that moment the yellow was everything; it was holy and real and blinding and gentle and a little sad and I didn't understand it and I did. Did I? Did I.

en Tom DeLay remains extremely strong here in his home base. These folks have known Congressman DeLay for 25 years. They respect him, and they are not likely to be swayed by a partisan Democrat prosecutor in Austin.

en Kinky will get the politicians out of politics, but we need your help to get him on the ballot. Kinky has only a few weeks to collect over 45,000 signatures, and I'll be one of those signatures, and I hope you will, too.

en It seemed to be a speech more appropriate for a political hack than a presidential candidate by someone who clearly fails to recognize leadership. It was a contradiction within a contradiction.

Kinky is in a tough race to be the next Governor of Texas, running against several well-financed candidates. Texas law makes it tough for an independent to get on the ballot and he needs all the support we can give him for a campaign that's fueled on the merit of good ideas instead of special interest money.

en I filed the ethics complaint against Tom DeLay not because I'm a Democrat and he's a Republican or even because he drew me out of my congressional seat but because he engaged in corruption to further his plans to disenfranchise voters in Texas.

en What we're bringing to the floor is a border security bill to secure the borders and protect people. To suggest that he would filibuster such a measure only weakens our position at a time when we're fighting a war on terror. It just fits into the Democrat strategy of delay and obstruct.
