It was a great game. For us, the fact that we won makes the result great, but it was a great hockey game. Both teams had their moments where they had to fight from behind and it was decided by a good, clean goal in overtime. It's very easy to recognize the will of the players on both teams to play with everything in the tank.

In the NBA, it?s a little different. It?s more of a job. I?m sure some NBA players -- I know myself -- are a little envious of just the feeling of it all. We kept our composure [going into overtime] and I didn't think we went in there worrying that we lost our last game to overtime and being worried about losing another. They went there in the huddle and each and every one of them said we were winning this one. We gave one away two nights ago, but we're winning this one. It's great for the program and it's great for these players.

We know we have great goaltending and great defense, so when we get in a shootout like that and we can win a game like that it's huge for our team.

I am shocked we were not in the game the last three, four minutes. We never found our offensive rhythm for the entire game. Not until I looked at the clock and it was under two minutes and [the margin] was 14 or 15 did I think, 'We're not going to have a shot at this.' I'm proud of these guys but I'm surprised we didn't play a great game.

Fans want to see a winner, and when the home team wins, it's great. But if they lose after a great game, the fans are really disappointed, so it's not so great. And it's a tough way to lose a point. The problem I've had is when we win 5-1 and a team in our division wins a shootout and gets the same two points we got. That's tough to swallow.

It feels great. It's every team's dream to be in the championship game. What a great game tonight was. It was a battle for 40 minutes ... and it's too bad somebody has to lose a game like this. But we're excited to be able to play for a state championship.

In double overtime, when their goalie stands on his head, we're lucky to get a win. I thought we played a great game from the get-go and all the guys in this room played a great game all around.
