en All three are four-time state champions. I don't think that's ever happened before. Most seasons, there is one, maybe two, four-timers; hardly ever is there three in one season. We couldn't single one out over the other two.

en This wasn't one of his best seasons. I think he's going to have a great off-season. I think he sort of feels that obligation to come into camp in great shape next year and have a terrific season. Certain players' careers don't always play out in a linear fashion. There are ups and downs. He did a lot of things to help us win this year. But I think he'd admit this wasn't one of his best seasons. I think he called it at one point one of his more frustrating seasons. I think he'll take the steps necessary to improve upon that.

en I'm trying to stay focused on this game, focused on what we have to do. But this senior class has been through a lot. We've seen great seasons around here and we've seen a lot of bad seasons, some of the worst seasons in Penn State history.

en We've been a member of the Big East for nearly 11 seasons now, and we couldn't be more excited about the current state of the conference and its future prospects.

en This would be a drastic worst-case scenario. Universities are so reliant on part-timers that it would be unlikely to happen. Anyway, part-timers would still be cheaper if universities were to pay them on the same rate as their full-time colleagues.

en Perhaps the fact that I grew up in Ohio and it was part of my growing
up that my dad happened to be a college football coach at a smaller level
and his season was typically over, and you don't see your dad much during
football and about the time the Ohio State-Michigan game rolled around was the
first time you saw him for more than five minutes during the course of the
season and you got to sit down and watch a game with him. You can talk
about that in all the households in Ohio State and Michigan. It's one of those
special things that people enjoy together. Do I intimately understand how
privileged we are to be a part of it? Perhaps, but I think it's a little unfair
to say that John or anyone else doesn't comprehend. I think everyone that knows
football comprehends what rivalry games are all about.

en No one has ever gone on (to state) in the last three years. This is much better than we've done in the past couple of seasons. We ended the season on a higher note. We've been doing really well coming in.

en We slowly crept back and got our ship righted, ... We had a lot of adversity this season - we're already on our third different car. Things have happened this year including breakage and other issues that we haven't had before. We've battled back and got our game to where it needs to be, or at least close to where it needs to, and we're getting happy again. Maybe after having to grit through a season like this and having to scratch and claw for every point makes us respect much more what we've been able to accomplish during the last two seasons.

en Ray?s Diner used to be packed with the old timers. We?re just trying to get back the same people. But we [also] get a lot of new kids because a lot of the old- timers passed on ? [there?s] a new generation.

en We've had some big seasons and some special seasons. We're looking for a big season this year. We're a young team, but we've got a lot of heart.
