He was probably the best-blocking running back I ever saw. He was just an outstanding player who always knew how to keep the team loose. He always had everyone laughing when he would pull tricks on guys.

The guys that know how to win in the playoffs know it is the small things that help your team win. Diving for those loose balls and blocking shots. If we have a loose ball we have to get on the floor.

We watch every film and it seems like the same things are prevalent every night. Blocking out, getting loose balls, making hard cuts, setting good screens, running back.

Daccus should give us some toughness running the ball that we didn't have last week, ... Our team right now is looking for some tough guys who love to compete and maybe hate losing. Daccus is a tough guy, and he'll add a lot to our offense blocking, running the ball and maybe challenging our offensive linemen to get their butts going, things like that. He sees the holes very well because he has done it for a long time. Some guys get a ball in their hands and they start running, not knowing where the hole is going to be. Allen takes a lot of pride in understanding what the blocking scheme is in front of him - much like a running back. He can predict where the hole is going to be, and he hits it quick.

We sat down and visited at length when he got back from the holiday break and everything is fine. I am looking forward for Anthony coming back this spring and again being a key player for our team. They look at me as an individual player. What am I doing on a run play? Am I blocking for the running back? What am I doing at safety? Am I just jogging up to the play?

So guys like Del, who know that they're already on the bus, I could just pull at them a little bit and tell them to step their game up and get a decal and get on the bus. It's just a little fun and games on Thursday to try to bring the energy up and have guys laughing and get them upbeat.

He's a big running back. He runs low and breaks tackles. We're a run-oriented offense. If he's running well and the offensive line is blocking well, that means we're doing well.
