It was a beautiful catch. She's done that twice this year, caught two of those sliding catches and popped the ball up (with her glove) and show the umpire.

(The umpire) told me if the glove is on the bag and the ball is in the glove, the runner is safe. That was a bad call. But it didn't cost us the ball game because we made too many mistakes.

It hit my glove and the ball came up. The umpire must have thought it hit the ground but it hit the tip of my glove and came up.

Generally, if there's any question, I would either tag the guy or throw the ball to first or turn around and look at the umpire and show him the ball and get a definitive out call, ... I see both sides of the issue. I think in Josh Paul's mind, there was no question, and the replay seems to show he caught the ball. I understand why he assumed the batter was out, but by the same token he did reach down toward the ground.

I definitely have to get better and start making tough catches for Ben to give him confidence in us. The old saying goes, if you touch the ball, you have to catch the ball. We have to hold ourselves accountable to catch those footballs. We got to make tough catches.

Me and Tejada were looking at the umpire the whole time, wondering what kind of call he was going to make. We were wondering if the ball was out or (Erstad) got it in his glove. He said the first baseman caught the ball, I saw it completely different. I asked him to ask the other umpire and he said it was my call and I'm not going to ask the other umpire. I really need to watch what I say. I've been reprimanded before. That didn't have a whole heck of a lot of bearing on the ball game. It was pretty well out of reach, but let's just put it this way: I've got a control pitcher on the mound and he walks five guys in three innings. That's all I'll say. He hasn't walked five guys in five games.

For two years in a row, Andre Johnson led the league as a receiver in yards after catch. Had Corey had enough catches, he'd have blown him out of the water. So this guy's a legitimate big-play guy. Once he catches the ball, he can outrun people.

I was guarding against the ball in front of me instead of over my head. The way it hit my glove, I thought I caught it, but it hit the top of my glove or the front or something.

Baseball's a game of inches and we caught the bad breaks. I wish I could've caught that ball. It would've been huge. But it ticked off the end of my glove . . . I really wanted to make that play, but it didn't work out.
