Mr. (Karl) Lang our ordtak

Mr. (Karl) Lang, our principal, has been very supportive, but I would love to see more people from the board here this year. It is so important for these students. It really teaches them a lot. They learn what it takes to put something like this together, and it helps them to learn to present. Some students have to moderate sessions as well.

These are students who have a lot of potential but don't have people pushing them or showing them how to succeed. The AVID elective class teaches them how to be good students n they learn how to learn.

In teaching, you should be-lieve that what you are pre-senting to students is the most important thing being taught, ... As principal, I have to help pro-vide the right environment so teachers can teach and students can learn.

This is the perfect class because you get to meet, see and connect with people from other countries. Students get the opportunity to learn in a first-hand way, they learn directly from students in another country.

I think it helps focus students on being accountable for what they have to learn. It also focuses accountability back on teachers so that they are doing a good job teaching students what they need to know.

Mark told me worship is very important because it helps the students learn how to pray.

It is so important not only as students, but individuals to learn about other cultures. Diversity in life broadens all of our experiences. My hope for this weekend is that people can an understanding of how far minorities have come and learn from the past as we move forward.

I would love to keep every school open, but the reality is you can't keep entire schools open for a few students. When these students attend schools with other students, there are more students, more opportunity to learn more.

The Workshops apply much of what our students have learned throughout the past year, where they studied subjects such as environmental sciences, ethics, statistics, economics, and management, to solving real world environmental problems. Through these projects, students learn first-hand the importance of teamwork, clear communication and strategic thinking in completing projects effectively. Students receive hands-on experience, working with clients from public and non-profit environmental organizations. Our program places a premium on learning by doing. Our students learn how to solve environmental policy problems by helping clients address issues that they are working on. Everyone wins ? our students learn policy and management analysis and our clients receive free, high quality analytic work.

These types of skills assist students in a number of different ways. They learn to present themselves in a persuasive manner and they also gain confidence that is needed in any walk of life. The learn how to publicly express themselves.

It's important for students to feel that they're in a safe, secure environment. This helps us make sure their physiological needs are met, which makes them better able to learn.

Students need to learn how to think critically, how to argue opposing ideas. It is important for them to learn how to think. You can always cook.

They have a lot of wisdom they can pass onto the students. It teaches (the students) a lot about compassion. For the seniors . . . it helps them stay young.

"Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. With my method, you learn how to move your entire body as if it was one snowboarding unit instead of a person on a snowboard. It takes practice, the balancing techniques. You can almost call it a discipline. I would say my students learn quicker than what they'd learn in the conventional way. My method is that you are taught how to move as if the snowboard is a part of you.

Jerry has been great to work for as a principal, because he is a good friend as well as a leader that takes care of his people. He is the type of principal that knows all of his students and parents by name.
