en With him on the field, we do remarkable things, ... We could have set records. That was something that I looked forward to doing, winning Super Bowls together. But it just continued to go in the wrong direction.

en It's not the greatest day of my life, winning eight games. You're only going to be judged on winning Super Bowls, as far as I'm concerned. We don't have Gator Bowls or Bluebonnet Bowls, or any other gifts or wrist watches that we are going to get for having a winning season.

en I thought I was going to stay with one team my whole career and win a bunch of Super Bowls, but that didn't happen, ... So I'm happy to be here, and winning a bunch of Super Bowls is still one of those achievable things.

It's this year. It's about what we have. It's about pioneering back to new things and getting ourselves back to winning things like Super Bowls.

en I think if you look around the league at the linemen that are in the Hall of Fame, they are there because the teams they played on were very successful. And if you look at Russ Grimm, he's been to four Super Bowls. There's a reason why you get to four Super Bowls.

en It would be a great loss for the league. I'm going to miss him. I looked up to him, watching him win Super Bowls.

en I can tell you from firsthand experience after winning a couple of Super Bowls, if you don't win them, people don't care, ... You've got to win championships.

en . . . But we're trying to win Super Bowls, not just playoff games. Obviously, we'd like to win our division, have home-field advantage . . . we're going to keep on working and, hopefully, we can get over the hump.

en As a kid, there are some things you looked forward to. You looked forward to Charlie Brown during Halloween and you looked forward to Monday Night Football .

en My feeling is if Duane Thomas continued to play the way he did the couple of years he was in there, it would have been very hard for Pittsburgh to beat us [in Super Bowls X and XIII]. If we had Duane and Calvin Hill, together they would have made an impact.
