en I wouldn't have believed it. We are on a roll. But if you had told me that our team would be competing against all the teams that we played to date, yes, I would've believed that. Or that we would be playing hard -- yes. Or that they'd be close games -- yes. I think the difference is that all of those things have happened and some of those close games have gone in our favor.

en We didn't look at the schedule and try to figure wins and losses. Maybe nobody else believed, but we did. We knew if we worked hard and played that way every week, we would have opportunities. We have played a lot of (close) games like this, and we always believe we can get the job done.

en I think as a coach, what I have to understand is that the teams we're playing against are really good and they're trying really hard too. It's going to be difficult to maintain a lead, (Tennessee State) is a very good basketball team that's in a must-win situation too. These last games are all going to be very difficult. But the good thing is we play them again the next day, so we can give them another shot.

en That's the big difference between this year's team and last year's team. We've played a lot of close games the past two seasons. Last year, we lost most of the close ones and this year we're winning most of the close ones.

en We played in a lot of close games last year including an 11-10 double overtime loss to Army which made the NCAA Tournament. So we will start winning some of those close games. We have good kids that keep working hard and want to do their best.
