As a team, we play defense well and our kids listen. Memphis did a poor job at the free throw line (26-of-41) and that really kept us in the game.

Poor shooting from the field and free-throw line cost us the game. But we played very good defense and took them out of their game.

The whole coaching staff talked about going to the line as much as possible, taking advantage of the mismatches and getting to the free-throw line. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. Whenever we play unselfish at home or on the road, we are a tough team to beat. When we play unselfish, we play better defense and we move the ball and play better offense.

The whole game was summed up at the free-throw line. It came down to the last few seconds. If you're going to go 50 percent at the free-throw line, you're not going to have a chance to win against a good team.

This was a tough game to get up for tonight. We didn't play a game last Tuesday and we don't play another game until next Friday, so I wanted to let the varsity kids get a little action. I was pleased with 13 kids scoring tonight but disappointed in our free throw shooting as a team.

We aren't that good of a free throw shooting team. We hit a lot of big ones at the end of the game tonight. (Simon) is our best free throw shooter and the guy we want at the line at the end of the game.

They can score a lot of points, they want that up-tempo game. We can't get into a between-the free-throw-line kind of game, because that's where they beat you out there in the middle. We've got to play good solid defense and try to keep their penetration down.

If I had known they were very poor at the free throw line, we would have started fouling earlier in the third quarter. The kids never rolled over after being down by more than 20.

Physical play is not our strong suit. We just don't have a lot of big, physical kids. Any team that has a big post presence has given us problems. It worried me before the game and (B-PC) turned into the type of game that we had struggled with in the past. They got second shots and went to the free throw line a number of times because of it. It caused us a lot of problems. ... We just weren't able to keep them off the boards.

Down the stretch, they shot the ball better from the free throw line. We played outstanding defense and controlled the pace of the game. I could not be more proud of my team.

That was how the game was called. We want to be physical. We want to attack the basket and we want to get to the free-throw line. We've got a goal to get to the free-throw line 30 times, and we didn't. ? There were fewer calls than we expected.

I felt fine (at the free-throw line). I never feel bad at the free-throw line. I'm not really nervous. I just missed them. They just didn't go in. I'm disappointed. They were obviously big things for us to win the game.

First of all, our shooting from the free throw line was atrocious in the first half. That set the tone for us. And we played no defense. We didn't play defense until we were in trouble in the fourth quarter. That's when we stepped up.

The pressure he puts on the defense, and the way he gets to the free-throw line, we need that. He's big for this team.

Give (the Heat) credit, because they're a great team. They've got guys who can get to the basket and get to the free throw line. We don't have a guy who can get 20 free throws a night. So how are we going to play? We've got to do it from a team concept, by passing the ball and being ready to pass it.
