We did a nice job starting out. It gives us something to build on, lets us know what we have to work on. We did a good job communicating, getting everybody playing the same coverage. We just have to make some plays.

They called two plays against the coverage that honestly put me in a bind where I'm basically on two people at one time. So as far as you talking about them beating me on two plays, you need to know the coverage before you say I got beat on those two plays. You don't know the coverage.

Keith plays special teams, he plays linebacker, he plays rush defensive end. We have a 3-4 package that we named after him. He can rush the passer, he is doing a real good job playing coverage. ... Those are the kind of players that you need to win.

You get out there and you play hard, but a victory lets you know in the back of your mind that all your hard work is paying off. It's early in the year, but it is nice to get a win to build the confidence.

We're telling the players to make sure you stay in coverage and don't blow coverage. We have to keep them in front and tackle them so they don't make big plays.

I told the guys in training camp, `We're a good team, ... We've got a nice bench and we've got a nice starting combo when we're all on the court -- Sam, myself, Corey, Elton, Chris [Kaman] -- that's a nice squad right there. If we just keep playing together like we've been doing, we'll be fine.

Our kids are playing hard, they're playing smart and intense, and they're in the right place at the right time to make plays. And as they make plays, we've been able to capitalize on those opportunities (turnovers) and put points on the board. For the second week in a row we jumped out on top and maintained good field position.

The back four and midfield do a lot of defensive play and pattern play and how they need to work things. But when it comes to the strikers and wingers he lets you work it out for yourself really. He tells me certain runs he wants me to make but overall he lets us get on with it.

He has a skill level ... a nice-looking jump shot. He can go get the basketball and make athletic plays. But at times, he is just out there. He floats sometimes ... comes and goes. When he is focused and playing hard, he is a very good player.

The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness. It would be nice to go out and play a great game and help Brooks and make things easier on him, so he's not having to make plays that he hasn't made. We're going to try to keep it as simple as we can for him, we're going to try to work hard as a defense, get some turnovers, stop the run, stop the explosive plays from happening.

Would I feel more comfortable with the [starting] offensive line? I'm not going to lie -- yeah. But those guys, they're going to step up and make plays also. So it was good for them to get a lot of playing time this week. Those are the guys we're going to need next year.

Having great software that lets your people see digital information, lets them collaborate, lets you build a great Web site, that's going to be very, very important for all companies going forward, ... And Windows 2000 is the key platform where that starts.

There's no doubt that team speed and the fact the players want to get out there and make plays has improved our coverage. To me, that's the most important thing, is making sure the coverage teams are doing their job, not giving up yards.

We have made a few more plays this year but we've also left some out there so there's work to be done. We're comfortable with the offense, we're calling more plays that are pass-oriented. We're making more plays, getting more opportunities to make plays. That's the biggest thing, getting more chances to make plays downfield.

He's doing fine. He just has to keep playing, become more familiar, ... He just makes plays. He has the right fit. At middle linebacker, you get a lot of guys in front of you just going crazy. He knows where he is. He solidifies the defensive front; there are not a lot of gaps in there. Then he makes plays. He's got good ball skills in pass coverage. He's around the football. Now he's just got play some more.
