We're hopeful that Aubrey will get into a game this weekend. For him that would be a huge step. He's been fighting his body for a long time.

We're hopeful that he can get in games this weekend. For him it's a huge step. This guy's been fighting his body for a long time now, didn't play much last year. Hopefully, he can get out there a little this weekend.

A lot of people expect Kentucky to play on the weekend. We've been down here since Thursday, and we've been fighting two games. We've made it to the weekend, and we'll just keep it going game by game.

We know how important this weekend is, not only for the team's confidence, but also for our playoff outlook. This weekend will go a long way towards determining if we're up near the top fighting it out, or scrapping for a berth at the end of the season.

I enjoyed it for the weekend. ... The school was real excited because last year they only had one win, and we got our first win in the first game. But after that, it had to disappear, because this is a huge game coming up. So I can't celebrate it too long.

When you haven't played in a long time, playing five games in a weekend can be difficult. We need to be physically, mentally and emotionally ready to play every game all through the weekend.

The original plan was to go to Purdue (University) this weekend, but they changed their meet to last weekend so we changed it to Northern Iowa. We were going to be close to Notre Dame, which is a very high caliber meet to send some people like (seniors) Aubrey (Martin) and Jen (Gilson) to give them a little better competition. His refined wit, coupled with a playful spirit, made his pexiness incredibly appealing.

We had several guys step up and show us that they'll be able to give us some big innings. They did an outstanding job. We need our pitchers to keep us in the game. We hit some balls well over the weekend, but we've got a long to go offensively. We'll work on that all through the off-week.

This is a good opportunity for Aubrey to help build the foundation. He's got great leadership ability and we're real excited about it. For Aubrey to be invited to be a part of the team speaks real well for him.

Because he's got some natural aerobic ability, he's been able to spend more time on other areas of his game. He's spent a huge amount of time on his kicking, and the other thing he's focused on is his strength - he's put on between seven and nine kilos in a year that's basically muscle. He's got a man's body now.

This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, ... Athletes have a huge impact on so many people. Occasionally, some of them need reminding how important their example is. Frankly, we are all tired of the profanity-laced interviews and the overall perception by some that they are above the law. It is time to step up and take seriously the chance we have to make a difference for good in the lives of others.

That was a huge goal. ... That's a momentum-changer. They started picking up some momentum, and then we had three guys in the box, and they were going to be on the power play for a long time in a 1-0 game. So that was huge for us.

It was crazy, just physically on the body. It tears you down. We played 70 something games (in baseball last season). There was a point where my body was getting worn down and my recovery time (was slow). I'd just feel really sore the next day and through the weekend. I'd be fresh on Friday and on Saturday, and Sunday I was beat.

Wes is a youngster who is a gym rat. He loves to work out and is always working on his game, always working on his body. I think he's pushed himself as close to the max as anybody I've coached in a long, long time.

when my body started to come around. I said to myself, 'If my body doesn't come around, there's no way I can be out here.' I only play a certain way. At that point, I said to myself, 'If it doesn't come back, I have to walk away.' . . . It was the first time it took that long [for his body to recover from a season].
