en He didn't command the ball like he normally does. He said his arm feels good. He's just feeling the effects of where we are this spring. This is what players go through this time of year. You just work through it and get ready to head out.

en You have to go on how a guy feels. His knee felt great in Spring Training. It's hard to say if he was ready or not. He's not ready now. He was feeling really good. Now he can't even take the ball. You've got to deal with it.

en My theory on him is that he's essentially still in Spring Training. He's behind, and he may have hit a little bit of that 'dead arm' phase. In general, he's throwing the ball better than he was when I saw him in January. It's consistent, he feels very good about it, his balance is good. It's a lot better than the films I've seen from last year.
